A Religion of Evil
Feb 3rd, 2009 at 10:48pm

...
It's a book I've been wanting to work on. Espousing the virtues of sin, and suggesting to be guided by the purity of evil...

This isn't just some marketing ploy. I take this seriously. Every evil in the world is forbidden precisely because it liberates us from the constraints of our fellow man.

...
Pride:
Without pride, we are weak, and need others to reassure us we have value. How can you control a man who does not willingly allow himself to be controlled? Pride gives us the inner strength to endure any amount of alienation and judgement. We are immune to such emotional barbarism..

Lust:
What is lust? Well, in it's technical term. Lust is desiring something abstract. We asscosiate lust with promiscueity, but evidently promiscueity is a biproduct of wanting something more. We desire things that have no tangible order. Such as love and loyalty. Our undying thirst for these mystic mcguffins leads us to do crazy, and often illegal things. But lust is why we live. We're always searching for something more... without it we might as well be dead.

Greed:
Greed comes down to the logic that no man is more entitled then you. To your money, to your flesh, to your emotions. Greed takes a certain level of emotional clarity and strength that most people just don't have. And it pays off.. Greed leads to success, which leads to longivity and more power!

Sloth:
Equally vital to one's spiritual health is sloth. Sloth takes a different route then greed and relies on never exterting one's self. Why take the long road? There's always a short cut. Sloth done properly will only add to the other sins. Sloth is our rationality. It is part of our evolutionary proccess to think of ways to make life easier and more convient for us.

Gluttony:
Not simply food, but excess. Excess in anything. Gluttony is closely linked with greed but has more to do with pride. You are entitled to greasy cheeseburgers, opium pipes, and fourteen year old whores! Gluttony is us, treating ourselves for a job well done, and a good way to relieve the pains and tribulations of having to deal with the world's poo...

Envy:
Envy is ambition. If we were happy with what we have, we would never do anything. We would be stagnant. And stagnation is death. Envy represents life, in that it thrives, pulses, and continues to rotate, constantly seeking out what it believes others have.. I myself am driven by a strong envy.

Wrath:
The most important virtue/sin in my opinion, because it's the most widely damned. Wrath.. Death, murder, assault, abuse.. We must destroy those who would stand in our way.. the parasites loathe wrath, because without it they know they are immortal. So they convince us wrath is bad. That we should try to "talk things out" while they continue to leech off of us and tell us what to do. No.. You can go ahead and die. And I will live alone.. There is no you, only me.

...
I don't much explore rites and rituals. Involving the summoning of demons and using occult magick. That's not really what evil is about. Why would the spirits respect someone too afraid to go out and kill someone themself? Rather then hiding in their mother's basement, trying to make a little voodoo doll and hoping the forces of evil will pity them and do their work for them.. Ridiculous!

Nothing I have I've obtained through love and kindness. Even my girlfriend, who means the world too me, I obtained through selfish means of knowing exactly that I was going to try to get in this girl's pants. Julz reminds me that my power is real, and through her soft flesh I feel things I could never feel alone..

...
People assume I'm a moral relativist, or a nihilist. They figure since I don't submit to their ideas of right and wrong, that I am somehow morally bankrupt. This is how I use the term "evil". Not in the literal sense, but in the sense of how it will be perceived by others...

I'm so evil, that I spare the child in the womb
I'm so evil, that I don't find it sporting to hunt and murder a defenseless evil
I'm so evil, that I don't feel it nesscaray to start wars or take people's money to pay for some assinying government program
I'm so evil, I don't tell people they're not being evil enough, and just let them live their life
I'm so evil, I don't waste my time pretending to like people, I respect myself and them enough to project exactly how I feel. Be it hate or love.
I'm so evil, I don't expect a God to forgive me, or to change my soul for the better, and do so myself.
I'm so evil, I don't need dead people's words to justify what I do or what I say. I am my own justification.
I'm so evil, that I don't try to be a great man... I just try to be a man..

Agreed. The seven sins are actually the seven methods of control.

Religion is manipulated by man to control people.

Aren't Christians supposed to fight against control, it is in the bible isn't it?

There is no list of 7 deadly sins anywhere in the bible. Another contortion of the original by man.

SATAN tells man,
"You can choose to do whatever you like. You are all God's in your own right. You decide, what is 'right' or 'wrong'."

God tells man,
"You can choose to do whatever you like. I myself, give your body 'life' and the spirit [life force] which motivates your body, comes from me. And there will be an 'accounting' when you die. I set before you a blessing and a curse, good and evil, it is your choice which you will take up."

Ezekiel 18:4
Behold, all souls are mine; as the soul of the father, so also the soul of the son is mine: the soul that sinneth, it shall die.

Hebrews 9:27
And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:

Matthew 13:24
Another parable put he forth unto them, saying, The kingdom of heaven is likened unto a man which sowed good seed in his field:
25  But while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat, and went his way.
26  But when the blade was sprung up, and brought forth fruit, then appeared the tares also.
27  So the servants of the householder came and said unto him, Sir, didst not thou sow good seed in thy field? from whence then hath it tares?
28  He said unto them, An enemy hath done this. The servants said unto him, Wilt thou then that we go and gather them up?
29  But he said, Nay; lest while ye gather up the tares, ye root up also the wheat with them.
30  Let both grow together until the harvest: and in the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, Gather ye together first the tares, and bind them in bundles to burn them: but gather the wheat into my barn.

Matthew 13:36
Then Jesus sent the multitude away, and went into the house: and his disciples came unto him, saying, Declare unto us the parable of the tares of the field.
37  He answered and said unto them, He that soweth the good seed is the Son of man;
38  The field is the world; the good seed are the children of the kingdom; but the tares are the children of the wicked one;
39  The enemy that sowed them is the devil; the harvest is the end of the world; and the reapers are the angels.
40  As therefore the tares are gathered and burned in the fire; so shall it be in the end of this world.

In my experience,
There are 4 kinds of people walking this earth...

1. There are people who believe that there is no God.
2. There are people who believe that there may be a God. But hey, they don't know.
3. There are people who believe that there is a God, and they pray to him.
4. There are people who know there is a God.

#4 ???

Q.
How can anyone know there is a God?

A.
A lot of people alive today, walking this earth, like Yasmin [below], claim to have been in God's presence, in a dream, or in a vision....

Read this Timesonline article.
Search for the name Yasmin [in the article].
http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/news/uk/article510589.ece

Why would she lie?

And her experience?

I've had a similar experience, though i was not giving birth att.      Shocked

Just to be clear, I'm not on any medication, and i do not take recreational drugs.         Grin

I also experience OBE's occasionally.

Check out the post by the person called 'Lucy', here,
.....and i ask you, doesn't Lucy seem like a very sincere [convinced] person?

I believe her.

Hmmm, i wonder why?

Wink

"......My son has schizophrenia and believes that the goodness of Christianity has saved him. Since reading the bible he no longer sees demons- if the demons ever reappear he reads the bible again and prays and the angels save him. How can I argue with that? better to be saved by an angel than tormented by a demon. That is how he lives with it. I should mention that prior to his illness he was not religious."

SATAN is real.

Demons [evil angels] are real.

And, you may wish to deny the existence of God.

But in my experience, God, err, my 'imaginary friend', is very real.

Pride has not survived the ages as a defintion solely of vice when it was originally more closely associated with arrogance.

If you think that there is nothing in the seven deadly, mortal or caridnal sins (other than some vague notion of a means for controlling the mind), then when was the last time you honestly admired someone for their arrogance, lechery/perversion, greed, laziness, gluttony, envy/spite/bitterness and wrath/violence/blind hate?

And if you have, then what, exactly, are you?

I have many heroes who could fall under these categories..

Joseph Stalin is one of the people I adore the most. Everything he said was pure wsidom.

OJ Simpson is someone who knows how to protect himself. Well, untill he let his feelings got the best of him. Anyone who can get away with murder, then make a book "how he would've done it", is smacking awesome lol!

Aleister Crowley. Renown sorcerer, could have any woman he wanted even though he was an ugly, ugly man.. lol!

Adolph Hitler. Say what you will about him. But he could captivate an audience without even trying. He didn't have to smile or make jokes, the force of his personality enthralled you. And he killed Jews. I don't like Jews.. lol!

Charles Manson. I actually got to see an interview on t.v. of Charles Manson, and I fealt relieved, someone else "got it". The way he could just sit there and looking at you point blank with his cold dead eyes and tell you "I look at my murders no differently then when a woman goes to get an abortion". No waver, no doubt, and he's barely phased by the fact he's been in prison for so many years. And when the inerview ended, he got the last laugh by calling the journalist a fat bitch. lawlz!

This is quite an old (revived) version of the Golden Rule which can be applied to both people and the environment, both for short term and long term. Like any Golden Rule, it shouldn't be taken too literally, as we often have to do minor harm in order to do good. (a minor analogy is cauterising an ulcer.)

An ye do no harm, do then what ye will. Let love be your guide.

All the people on your list fail this basic tenet quite catastrophically in one way or another.

Having said that, just about everything you do, and the act of living does harm at some level. It's a question of compromise. If we apply the principles of minimising harm and maximising benefits, it becomes easier to realise.

I wish I could find the reference but I think it's a certain sect of Buddhism that believe that before you can enter a state of Nibhana, you must first apologise to every living organism you have wronged. I'm not sure if that extends to each and every oral bacterium that you killed every time you use a mouthwash, or not  Grin

Yadda, In my experience there are many more than four types of people walking this earth. There are those who absolutely know beyond reproach that their own religion is correct. To suggest anything otherwise is regarded as disrespectful. This includes people who believe in a collection of minor deities (eg in some parts of Togo), and they know from their own vital experience that they all exist.

As for me, I know that there are no gods. (that's another category) I know this through a very life changing and personal experience while sitting watching the sky in a very peaceful bushland location - a moment of epiphany and resolution of amazing clarity. I know in my mind that this is the truth, although I know enough abut the cognitive process to realise that other people will 'know' things that may be totally at odds with my personal belief. People can be easily made to believe in just about anything through a process of neurolinguistic programming, self inflicted or otherwise.

In my mind, I see your system of belief to be erroneous. I might even go so far to say self-deluding. At the same time, I understand and respect the fact that you probably have a similar view about my absolute truth.  It then potentially degenerates into a "My mountain top view of the universe is better than yours" type argument. Personally I think that such arguments are pointless, so I don't pursue them.

Where do we go from here? Well I choose the path of respect for the worldviews of other people. In today's Post-Christian era, it's the only possible way forward - don't you agree?

No one can know there is a God, even if they think they know. Although I read in Time magazine that about 8% of Americans claim to have been visited by the Virgin Mary. She must have a lot of frequent flyer miles for US domestic travel. Probably just under half of that figure would think they ARE the Virgin Mary.

muso,

Thank you.

What is 'reality'?

I do not believe that we humans have a 'grasp' on what reality actually is.

Yet many ppl are convinced that their waking moments, spent on this little planet, is all the reality they will ever experience.

My own perception is, that this 'life' isn't even real LIFE.

After i experienced the presence of what i can only call real LIFE, this existence, this 'life', is dull, it is not real.

And i know this 'life' to be a dull shadow of a reality which i now know exists.

And that knowledge, exhilarates me.

That knowledge, fills my heart with joy.

And yet, i know i cannot communicate my experience.

But hey, muso,

I know that the brain is a 'weird' organ.

And I know that our perceptions can be formed, of illusions.

And indeed, couldn't this life itself, be an illusion?

Maybe that 'experience' i experienced, that 'reality', was just my neurons having a few minutes of ecstasy???        Grin

[n.b.    i do not take ecstasy.    Cool   ]

muso,

Yes, we all come to believe [sometimes very firmly], in what we want to believe.

We usually, all come to some personal understanding, or comprehension, of what this 'reality' means to us.

And on our journey here, we all come to some personal understanding, or comprehension of right and wrong, of what is good and what is evil.

And perhaps we may even begin to contemplate the deeper consequences of our choices in life [in relation to what we hold to be 'good' or 'evil'].

And such contemplation on our part, may go on to form what we become?

The reality of this life, is that we all make choices.

To my mind, in our journey here, we all have 'eaten' of the fruit of that tree of knowledge of good and evil.

And it is our choices, which make us the individuals which we are.

Can i say, that is it our choices which 'create' who we become?

'Where do we go from here?'

I choose to continue my personal search for that what i perceive as my 'God' [my creator].
....[and i seek to be 'reconciled' to the LOVE and to the LIGHT.]

I know that, that journey won't end [for myself], until this body ends.

I welcome the coming of that day.      Wink

That will be the day when my imaginative 'neurons' will become 'homeless' - - according to your philosophy.

But my philosophy is different.

And possibly, my reality is different too?
