Sure multiculturalism has problems, but at least it is based in reality, not some fantasy ideal of what never was.

No I never use the term monoculture... you multicultists do as if its a derogatory term.

You delude yourself into believing that Australia's culture is non-existent or that a national culture is irrelevant yet hypocritically uphold the rights of other NATIONAL CULTURES to exist.

You fail to recognise we have had 3 major settlement policies... the worst of all being Multiculti... you fail to recognise that it has been proven that diversity policy creates social disharmony and social disengagement. Neither of which can be good for a strong cohesive society. You believe in a myth... I believe in reality.

All I ever seem to hear from the antis, is how a particular group, is going to bring about the destruction of our culture and heritage.

I am old enough to have seen this change over the years, with different people being focused upon as the root of all evil, yet I am still aussie, I still like footy, and I can still buy a beer.

Life is not too unbearable just yet.

I suppose your amnesia problem is the reason you keep forgetting groups that don't assimilate/integrate and have cultures which do not FIT IN with the AUSTRALIAN CULTURE.

Our strength has been our ability to assimilate and integrate... not our ability to tolerate. But it is a good thing we are more tolerant than other cultures we import. But that is not the way to build a strong cohesive society.

It is alleged the gang launched an attack on police officers David Eugarde and Stephen Munro and who were at Souths Rugby Union Football Club at Yeronga for a police Christmas party in late November 2007.

A third victim in the attack was the club president Donald Godfrey who with Mr Eugarde and Mr Munro went to ask the five accused to stop vandalising sponsor signs on the club's fenceline.

Crown prosecutor Catherine Birkett, in her opening address to the jury, said the gang shouted abuse such as "You white pieces of poo, go back to England" and "We're coming back to rape your wives" when they were asked to stop kicking signage.

She said the gang threw wine in the face of Mr Godfrey before punching Mr Eugarde and Mr Munro.

Mr Munro was left with a bleeding left eye and a fractured left eye socket which required surgery. Mr Eugarde had to have three teeth removed and other teeth had to be repaired after they were damaged in the attack, she said.

The trial, before Judge Michael Forde, continues
