That's not what's happening. He's a fool who has fallen off a cliff and she's taking time out of her very busy day to save him. Of course, being a man he can't help noticing her panties despite his perilous situation.

THAT captures the human condition.

Are men still chivalrous and respectful to women/females, do they essentially respect women for who they are - Or do they project the  media sterotypes here..ie: hoes and bitches, pole dancers, strippers, hookers  with glass heels etc..onto everyday women?

Have women lost something important due to men being bombarded with constant negative and insulting steroetyping of females..that something being the respect of men. ?

Some  guys are drawing their impressions of women thru media imaging/speak..and do they really internalise this sh.it or is it more teenage boys /very immature males?

For the most part is the same happening to men , are we drawing our impressions about men based on media representation?

Even tho I find the sterotyping of males to be presented in a way that makes them more  dangerous/smooth player/bad boy etc..this could simply be because it is men who control the media..and want to project this cool/romantic notion of themselves

I think Johnny Depp/Jack Sparrow is cute in a drunken piratey kind of way , but would he make a good partner etc. I dont think so.

But he is  cute and a bit of a bad arse and thats the point I guess..women love him, he will sell a ticket or two.

First impressions are based on these raunchy images constantly projected into the homes of teenagers  and which they soak this crap up like a sponge..they walk the walk and talk the talk..dont tell me they dont, I see it everywhere..little Beyonces/Lady Ga Gas..and P.Diddy, kanye West is so gangsta he is smchoozes past me everyday dressed immaculately right down to his Michael Jackson flats and Fedora...

That said I dont think mens image is so badly tarnished by media..and thats not surprising, since its a male dominated world we live in..

thoughts..

Auzgirl,

You give the media way too much credit. Men get their way of dealing with women from their family, how their parents treated each other, from the values instilled in them by their mother mainly. If you see men mistreating women then so did their father. If you see men treating women as equals then thank their mothers.

Hey Cliff, How old are you? Thirteen? Things change once you get through puberty little boy. The fact you use Cliff Richard's name says a lot about you doesn't it.

I'd suggest that men would like to be respectful of ladies. But if ladies choose to turn themselves into pole dancing whores, then they needn't expect respect from anybody other than their pole dancing whore peers.
Mission accomplished.

"With girls, Nature has had in view what is called in a dramatic sense a 'striking effect', for she endows them for a few years with a richness of beauty and a fullness of charm at the expense of the rest of their lives; so that they may during these years ensnare the fantasy of a man to such a degree as to make him rush into taking the honourable care of them, in some kind of form, for a lifetime – a step which would not seem sufficiently justified if he only considered the matter."
Schopenhauer

I have a magic spell.

I say, Koran, 4:34."
She says "I feel better now."

Women love me for my mind, then they set about changing me into somebody else. Then I bail. What is it with these lists of jobs that need doing urgently? I need time to think Grin

I think at 60 we wont have a problem. We can live seperately, have sleep overs, we're not trying to start a dynasty ffs, just to have some fun and compaionship, discuss things cultural and show off skills in the kitchen. But no, women have to have agendas, have to say 'you should' a lot and make out they're to thick to fix their own damn irrigation system.
