Political Animal

Maybe this thread shouldn't be here in OP but I can't post it in the PA here because Aussie permanently banned me (3 different, contradictory reasons given and my request for which rule I had broken that warranted a permanent ban was never answered.)

The PA board here is dead, D E A D ! This gives me no pleasure--when I joined the site had 2-3000 posts when I got unfairly, unlawfully kicked out the site had over 22,000 posts! (Since Aussie kicked me out unlawfully and for no good reason two months ago they have added not quite 1,000 posts!)

The question now is, what to do about that board:

1. Do we give it a nice burial?

2. Do we try to breath life back into it?

3. Do we let Aussie move the board to a different website, not under FD's control and Aussie will become dictator for life

If we decide on 2. the first thing that must be done is demote Aussie back to normal member--he has told me that he would not voluntarily stand aside to allow this board to recover.

If we decide against 3. then Aussie needs to be demoted back to ordinary member and that fairly quickly.

I know some people here used to be on PA, same with D&R--someone want to post this on D&R?

So, opinions anyone?

(And Aussie, do the right thing and step aside NOW!)

I had a look and saw a few people have different boards with the same posters.

Is there a point to that? (Not being facetious - it's a genuine question).

So far as I can see, there is the political animal community with three forums at which they can post. Two of those PA forums are active and Freediver's PA is not.

There would be no great loss to the PA community if Freediver's PA was closed. The very few who post very little there, would move their interest to the other two fully active PA's.

There are no forum wars between the two active PA's.
The two active PA's address different yet complimentary needs.
The two active PA's have www PA addresses.
These two active PA's seem more like the original than does Freediver's under the admin of Aussie.
Aussie has made himself an enemy of most PA forumites so the chances of fixing things are highly improbable.
There are not enough remaining members to vote Aussie out, so the chances of a change in admin are highly improbable.

My views should not count because I am permanently banned by Aussie from Freediver's PA.

Well, different boards have different character or might have a format more suited to some--this forum is, to me, badly layed out with a huge number of different forums some of which are similar (Muslim faith & Extremism Exposed) and FD has garden stuff as well on here that I  find hard to navigate.

My board is based on the familiar PA structure (except I added a Welcome forum) which allows political discussion, reasonably serious discussion of non political subjects (Off Topic) and a place for quite lighthearted play where rules are quite relaxed and non-members can guest post.

Hey, why not register at my board? We even have a super secret forum just for Gurls  Grin

Let this be a lesson to all those who voted for Osama Bin Aussie in the last Ozpol PA election. It was common knowledge that Arssie was an online stalker, dictator and an enemy of free speech from the last experience many PAers had with that freak at the helm. The fact that people voted him back in is nothing short of ridiculous. Freediver, get rid of the idiot. He has been a complete disaster. Already I can think of at least 6 posters who will return to your PA once Arssie is gone.

Don't you post at either of the two active PA's?
Quite frankly, I see no point in three PA's.
Aussie has killed Freediver's PA, so let it now rest in peace, as does the ABC PA rest in peace, as does the Shrink's PA rest in peace.

Two alternatives offering together all that was PA, seems the way it has gone. I have no problem with that. I can let go... can you?

Yes I do post at both but what's wrong with having 3 PAs? I've already let the dead PA go because Arssie made it quite clear he does not give a rat's crack about new members and only wants to stay in the past by trying to attract the old PAers to that place. That failed big time.

But what about all the members of this site's PA board drifting away? Hey, I got banned too and I reckon my words count!

That is what I meant by a decent burial--close it to posting and give links to OP and to both PAs, that way we have a shot at retaining the member's that used to post at Aussie's board just going away.

I tried to get Aussie to unban me, I tried pointing out how that board is dying and now I say,

RIP
Here lies the board that Aussie killed
Pass quietly and respectfully

If you liked that board when it was alive then go to (OP/PA1/PA2)
