As it so happens .. I'm like that (especially in real time). In cyberspace .. I tend to read a lot and then think about what others have posted.
On RARE occasions, I respond with a simple "Hmmmmmm ..." which basically means "oh wow .. you've got my undivided attention with that post AND you're challenging my core values .. so I'm going to need some time to rationalise and resolve what appears to be a confronting dilemma".
On other occasions .. I read posts and think (and at times I even post back) "that's pure unadulterated bovine faecal matter" OR "that's BS of the highest order". Naturally .. I follow through with an outline of reasons which underpin my conclusions (although lately I've not had much time given that the end of month/financial year is on our doorstep .. grrr).
I acknowledge the fact that I've got some pretty strong opinions about certain issues (which I feel will probably never change no matter what lol). These tend to be experiential knowledge based .. and as I am in my 40th year (far out that sounds SO OLD) .. I've seen quite a lot. Even so, learning is a continuous process for me .. and I know that each day presents many precious opportunities to discover something new about the world (and also myself).
In assessment and training (which is an area I specialise and consult in) .. we often use the following:
