Australia isn't big on "community" either, maybe that's why there's a big suicide rate.
The vested interests that have always run Australia and influenced government policy just want to fill it up with as many people as possible so they can build more high rise apartments and sell things to people.
This sort of thinking is what built America and it is building Australia.

It takes a long time to develop a cogent, cohesive community, not just a matter of throwing millions of people from every different culture on the face of the earth, and to hell with the standard of living.

but vested interests aren't interested in "community", they're interested in money - "community" is *your* problem; and that's why you don't have one in this country.

Many many people who come to this country these days, just want to go back to their home countries after a time. You see, it isn't all sweetness and light is it.  In the past, people couldn't go back, they had to stay, and they stayed for many generations and they became a community. Big difference to today.

I know its *my* problem,
but I'm sure someone will be sacrificed upon the Southern Cross for the good of the WWW.COMmunistic WWW.COMmunity.

but I guess there are many factors that run a nation.
There is some Artist awaiting to take on the role of Individual empowerment for this country.
There is a people of Politics awaiting to be that new en-mass Community empowerment.
...there are others awaiting to fullfill their roles for this country be it via Music, Military, Environmentalism, Religion, etc.
...as Individuals, Middle-Classes, People, small groups, as an act of the feminine or the masculine, etc, etc, etc.

- yep, even those Ferals in those giant Forests of Tasmania have a special role to play for the benefit of us all.
