Myki.

Grin  Grin

If one word could sum up that horsesh*t of a State Government that we had in Victoria for the last few years that would be it.

Took our money, pissed it against a wall and we the people booted them out.

Riff raff be gone!

No matter what you say, they're gone Buzz!!

People who should be in Government are BACK in Government.

When I arrived in Melbourne we had a Chinaman as Mayor and a grease monkey as Premier.
Both are gone...... Yay!

I can be proud of my hometown again and not embarrassed.

Can I leave on what note from the Age -

"whilst Brumby rattled out his achievements and his Government's tenure, you could almost hear the masses shouting "But what about Myki John? What about Myki?""

Baillieu's "Cash for Access" Scandal

February 19, 2011

PREMIER Ted Baillieu has been forced to cancel a $1500-a-head Liberal Party fund-raiser featuring two senior ministers, after his government became embroiled in a cash-for-access controversy.

Despite Planning Minister Matthew Guy - one of the frontbenchers who was to headline the event - publicly defending the fund-raiser yesterday morning, the Premier pulled the plug on the function while the government develops a new code of conduct.

The Liberal function was being sponsored and hosted by Deloitte, the same company that is providing crucial advice to the Baillieu government on whether it should dump the trouble-plagued myki ticketing system.

The fund-raiser was advertised as a briefing on planning and transport, and promoted Mr Guy and Transport Minister Terry Mulder's attendance.

Yesterday, Mr Baillieu denied that his ministers were ''for sale'', saying the government was working on a soon-to-be-announced policy on ministerial and staff conduct, fund-raising, gifts and hospitality.

By the way Buzz you STILL haven't answered.

You declared the flood levy to be only a small amount of budget and affordable.

Please tell us how much you will be paying (seeing as you see it as so small)??

Many thanks.

I THINK we know where you're coming from

The former premier, Steve Bracks, was a third generation Australian - of Lebanese heritage

Our former Lord Mayor, Chinese born John So, was elected for a record three terms - and voted the WORLD'S most popular mayor

Andrei is on record of having a strong hatred of non-whites
We believe it stems from his
"old white money" blue-blood South African heritage

Melbourne’s longest serving Lord Mayor John So can be viewed as a positive symbol of diversity in Australian public life. Re-elected in 2004, the affection shown for So in the Victoria state capital has even manifested itself in a tribute record, possibly the first city chief to enjoy ‘cult status’.
The city’s first directly elected mayor
is widely accredited with the successful staging of the 2006 Commonwealth Games and his assiduous efforts to promote the city abroad. In 2006 he was the winner of the annual World Mayor project.

He would see racism in his own shadow.

He's an idiot basically who interestingly enough contributed far less to our country than I did.
Which is quite funny seeing as he felt I was a part timer.

Victoria leads states in jobs growth

November 12, 2010

VICTORIA has added more jobs over the past four years than any other state, with 278,000 more people in work than at the time of the last state election.

Jobs figures released yesterday by the Bureau of Statistics show that Australia's buoyant jobs growth continued in October, with employers adding almost 30,000 jobs in seasonally adjusted terms.

But the strong jobs market has brought out many more job seekers, with the bureau recording a record 12 million Australians - 65.9 per cent of all Australians aged 15 and over - now in work or looking for a job.

Advertisement: Story continues below That lifted the seasonally adjusted unemployment rate to 5.4 per cent in October despite the strong growth in jobs, up from 5.1 per cent in September.

But even on those figures, seasonally adjusted employment has grown by a stunning 375,000 in the past year - including 271,000 more full-time jobs - while unemployment fell by 23,000.

On the more reliable trend figures used to analyse state data, Victoria has added 95,000 jobs in the past year, with jobs growing 3.5 per cent in the state, compared with 3.2 per cent growth in the nation.
