Let's not forget too that in the middle of this he said a project $35m over budget and 5 years delayed and the Victorian health system of the last decade criticised as 'embarrassing' by a senior health professional -

This was actually a 'good' project in the world of Buzz.

Buzz is incredibly biased.

There is one thing being biased to one side of an argument - it is quite another to be completely blind to another side.

He has NEVER explained why he has such a burning issue with the Liberal Party - issues which lead him into a 64 page meltdown after the Labor Government were (quite rightly) kicked out on its backside for a decade of failure.

I mean kicking them out of both houses kinda showed the electorate were sick of them. ANY Journalist has to follow with that.

A driver who happens to be caught speeding by a camera cannot reasonably object, on receiving an infringement notice, that there weren't any warning signs in the vicinity of the offence. Everyone is required to obey the law, with or without prompting from signs.

That point fortunately appears to have been accepted by Victoria's Coalition parties now that they are in office. In opposition, Coalition politicians sometimes indulged the fantasies of those who believe that speed cameras, radars and lasers are merely means of revenue-raising, and who seize on every verified fault in these instruments as proof of their belief.

On the eve of last November's election, then opposition leader Ted Baillieu vowed to lift restrictions on publishing speed-camera locations, and now that Mr Baillieu is Premier the official website Cameras Cut Crashes will publish camera locations

weekly instead of monthly.

Victoria Police will continue to use covert mobile cameras to catch speeding drivers.

TEACHERS will seize back control of their classrooms from unruly students under a bid to restore discipline in Victorian schools.
The new Baillieu Government will next week push for new laws allowing principals to search students, lockers and school bags for weapons and other dangerous items.

Education Minister Martin Dixon also wants to reverse students' declining respect for authority.

He wants to put a stop to bad language, sloppy dress and mobile phones in class.

Mr Dixon said restoring respect was his top priority.

"There's a growing number of parents that have got a lack of respect for any level of authority, whether it be police or school principals," he said.

"(And) there's an increasing use and threat of violence in schools.

"Assaults, verbal or physical, on teachers and principals used to be unheard of, but they do occur now. It is an issue. We've got to protect principals from that too."

BRUMBY BLASTED OVER MOTORIST RIP OFFS

JOHN Brumby has been accused of "reprehensible" revenue-raising over a predicted speeding fine windfall on the yet-to-be opened Eastlink tollway.
The Premier yesterday shifted responsibility for the decision, claiming the Government was acting on advice from the police about the installation of 22 speed cameras along the roadway.

The Australian revealed yesterday that lead-foot drivers on the 48km stretch of road are tipped to deliver a 14.5 per cent jump in speeding fines into Treasury coffers. Revenue from fines is forecast to rise by $62million to $492 million next financial year.

The state Government said the increase was "principally" due to an expected rise in traffic camera and on-the-spot speeding fines arising from the planned opening of Eastlink later this year.

The state's peak motoring body slammed the predicted windfall as reprehensible.

Royal Automobile Club of Victoria general manager public policy Brian Negus yesterday said: "It's a bit tough on the motorists. We certainly believe people should comply with the speed limit but the Government needs to be more active in this area as well."
