I live in a small country town and they are putting optic fibre in from one of the local school now.

Will the local National Party member or the local Liberal party senator take credit for it.

I'll bet they're at the ribbon cutting ceremony.

i bet they voted against the NBN

Hands up all those who have been involved in a new business. How many of you had a well developed business plan (prob a large number). How many of you had your business run even close to your business plan? (very few).

A business plan stating that it is viable is hardly proof positive. It is after all based on a 70% takeup which is ambitious and probably overly so.

When you consider the international take up rates are mostly less than 20%, you'd have to think 70% is fanciful much less ambitious.

At wholesale prices of $24/mth NBN at 12mb/s is already more expensive than my current offering, which granted generally maxes out at 8mb/s; frankly I think I would hardly notice the extra 4mb/s

Didn`t they do a trial run in Tasmania or somewhere, where only two blokes showed any interest in the network?  Then it was belatedly discovered that it had only been one bloke who inquired twice.

DITTO, Victoria ....

The newly elected Victorian Government has made its first official visit to areas devastated by the Black Saturday bushfires.

Acting Premier Peter Ryan today opened a pharmacy at Marysville, north-east of Melbourne.

Mr Ryan used his visit to assure locals the phasing out of the Victoria Bushfire Recovery Authority would not have a negative effect on their community.

"This is not a case of tearing down that which was there before," he said.

"People have confidence in the structures and more particularly the people around the system that now works.

Not a mention of credit to the Government that BUILT that "system that now works"

You are starting to sound like a hysterical child... remember how Rudd and Swann gave close to zero credit to Howard and Costello for the awesome state of the economy that survived the GFC?

Was there ever a cost benefit done on the Alice Springs to Darwin railway line.

If there was it wouldn't of been built

Nor the Sydney Harbour Bridge
Nor the Snowy Mountains Scheme
Nor the overland telegraph

To the best of my knowledge, a CBA has NEVER been suggested on national infrastructure

And that's the best you have to offer as an attempted 'excuse'.

You do realise that the ALP called for CBAs on the Liberal policies before the last election don't you?

So why is it ok for the ALP to call for CBAs on Liberal policies yet they refuse to have a CBA done on their own policies?

I bet the champagne socialist will do his usual "do as I say, not as I do"

Short term memory loss, or just selective memory?

Or maybe it's alzheimer's disease, or old timer's disease!

If it's good enough for the ALP to ask for CBAs from the Liberal Party then it's good enough for the ALP to provide CBAs to the Liberal Party!
