Basically, by making excuses for them, defending their sexual indiscretions, you are making a rod for their own backs, this and playing into the hands of those who might like to see an end or dramatic decline in financial support/popularity concerning this sport.

It's time to take serious steps towards improving this sports image, and the AFL's overall integrity, because it's become evident that paying whores to keep silent, this and having pregnant school girls having secret abortions, this and images of their players floating around cyber-space is not a good look at all. Hey, by all means, continue making excuses for them and promoting a culture of tolerance if you like, but at the end of the day, is this in their best interest for the long-term survival of this sport, when much of it rest squarely on sponsors and the public's overall perception.

In denying there is an entrenched culture of irresponsible behaviour among this sport, is basically denying there is a need to make the necessary changes to ensure the long term survival of this sport.

Blaming one or the other isn't working, change needs to occur from the ground up.

For starters, start fining bogan parents screaming out obscenities at football matches from the side-lines, this and ensure the AFL are more transparent and conduct their investigations more ethically and 'openly' when unfortunate incidents (as with the school girl) occur, this opposed to vilifying the school-girl in question, as it looks like exactly what it is...a pack of bullyboys and corporate entities, (including the AFL and our media) picking on a school girl, which really is a bad look.

Face it, times are changing, and Australians expect better of their said professional sports people these days, this and have the means to bring teams to their knees when ever they put a toe out of line.

Have they denied recognising her from the school sports clinic?

Who cares? THEY WERE TEENAGERS TOO!!!! Most blokes tend to hook up with girls 2 or 3 years younger than them - why should footballers be any different?

When kids are getting drafted at 17, the point of such a rule is.....what? In reality it's to keep the femonazi hate squad quiet...but what is the 'cover' reason they give?

Once again - why should any action be taken against teenage boys having sex with teenage girls? Have I gone to sleep and woken up in bizarro world, where such a thing is frowned upon?

How can they go around lecturing school-kids on self-respect, values, and good sportsmanship, personal responsibility, this and promoting the sport itself, when they are seen to be doing the exact opposite to what they preached just weeks before they hooked up with a school-girl, after first meeting her at her school.

How old do you think the nude players are, in the pic doing the rounds at present?

They are by no means teenagers, and should have known better, this or hooked up with an escort.

Did they honestly think a schoolgirl wouldn't kiss and tell?

....name the teenagers in the 'saints' team line-up involved in this incident with the schoolgirl.

I wonder why the AFL put the rule in? Did they put that rule in place when they started going into high schools? I don't think anyone has too much of a problem with teenagers doing what teenagers do, the problem is going to high schools to lure prospective 'fans'.

Another problem is when they get the schoolgirl pregnant, then run and hide behind the clubs apron strings. Also getting the clubs bully-boys to do your dirty work for you.

It's understandable that the bloke wouldn't want to be lumped with a girlfriend and baby, he's busy with his camera.

Look, the femonazis are having a field day with this , because the AFL are going about damage-control the wrong way.

Rather than tackle the problem, they are deflecting blame and in most cases sweeping incidents under the carpet.

It comes down to who is willing to pay the most when it comes to these scandals....

The AFL -vrs- MSM and assorted fem alliances who have with their pink-ribbons and media infiltrates, political influence this and have become rather powerful in recent years.

The femonazis are not doing this in the best interest of the victims, rather are using it to fuel their own agenda, and they have the AFL eating out of the palm of their hand...looking worse by the day.

Seriously, this recent incident was managed woefully, and the AFL have themselves to blame I'm afraid.

Too little too late, and when they did finally decide to acknowledge the incident publicly, they began threatening and bullying the schoolgirl in question.

Lol...she's in the eyes of the law a child, would be legally pursued in a children's court.

These adult men visited the girls school to promote their sport , the girl hooked up with them later on, a few weeks later, they did the deed over a number of months, when she fell pregnant within months of having spent time with them in numerous hotel rooms, the AFL paid for this and didn't appear to have a problem with her being there at the time. They then dumped her after she had terminated/miscarried, kept tabs on her and pretended to be her friends until the deed was done, and she sort revenge the way many kids do these days, by getting spiteful and posting a few compromising pics of peers/boyfriends on facebook. Yep, kids are stupid, this and don't always think before they do...on account of their brains not having finished developing until age 21.

If they are willing to take 'class' action against 'a child' in the eyes of the law as a powerful professional sporting body, then why is it not reasonable to expect they would take responsibility for some of their players behaviours which has stood to compromise the overall integrity of the 'professional sporting body' itself.

Like I said, the damage is done, and they brought it on themselves and have only themselves to blame.

Next time, they should pick on someone their own size, and age, instead of hooking up with kids from school.ii
