Quote:And with 46% of their supporters/fans being woman... it's something to get nervous about, don't you think?
I know they'll have some study that 'proves' this figure, but we all know it's rubbish....don't we?
Well, it's their study, straight from the AFL site itself.
Just think of all the mums carting kids off to footy practice, cutting oranges and washing guernseys.
Some of the footy-mums are the worst offenders when encouraging some of the undesirable behaviours associated with this sport, both on and off the field.
OK mellie, YES, some football players do treat women like 'meat'....of course so do some mechanics, plumbers, doctors etc...
That has almost nothing to do with this case though...
The young woman in question 'wanted' to be treated shabbily...otherwise she wouldn't have agreed to a date with a footy player...
And add the fact that she travelled to Sydney from Melbourne to meet up with Sam Gilbert originally, and a whole lot of other ideas spring to mind...
In other words, the slvt asked for it eh?Whether or not she did is irrelevant Giz...afterall, it's public perception that matters.
Ok, have it your way, but I can assure you...it's the wrong way to tackle the femmos demasculinization of this now suddenly 'pinked-up' sport.
Good luck with it.
HER actions ARE most decidely 'relevant' mellie...
It's the ENTIRE basis of the 'case' against the AFL players....
If this girl (young woman) was a willing participant to what happened...then there is NO case against the AFL players..
Her age is NOT a factor...she was well and truly old enough to make 'adult' decisions about who she slept with...
Asked for WHAT??....Sex from a famous person?? Perhaps..
To get pregnant by the famous person??? Maybe (she certainly didn't start any complaints until she lost the baby/babies)..Of course a paternity claim would be worth a bit..
To be dumped after he'd had his fun...No, no woman ever 'asks' for that
Or access to the photos on his laptop??...Perhaps she did...I can't see any other reason to allow someone access to MY computer, unless they ask..
BUT there was no 'rape' there was no 'gangbang', there was no 'force' or 'coercion' involved...everything she did (other than getting kicked to the curb, of course) she did 'willingly'...
