I do admire your determination however, and normally, I would wholeheartedly agree with some of your views, (re- the Johns case)..though when it comes to hooking-up with school kids they were supposed to be there setting an example for, sorry, they have well and truly crossed the line here.

What's especially disturbing is the extent they went to justifying their deeds, as they set about threatening and degrading a 17 year old girl.

It doesn't surprise me the AFP decided to overlook a number of things here, given one of their own were suspended from duties for a number of months for having had sex with the school-girl also.

Sure, she may get around, but so do they it seams.

What makes them any better than her (the 'said' tramp they shagged) in the whole scheme of things?

As professionals, they had a duty of care, she did not.

They don't stand a chance, it's a scare tactic to stop her talking to others who may serve to assist her in her case against them.

Their objective is to intimidate her, wont they be in for a rude shock when the rest of this sordid affair blows open.

You better get ready Miss, because it's about to blow.

No hard feelings, OK...it's just I think where school-kids are concerned, they did over step the professional boundaries here with this one.

What they did was bad enough, but how they managed it is well and truly beyond reproach.

These players had a professional duty of care when visiting these kids schools.

Tell me, does this involve taking phone numbers and hooking up with besotted teenagers afterwards?

I say keep them out of our kids schools, for their own good.

They can seek (and have sought) court injunctions to prevent her from publishing further material. If she breaches those injunctions, she will be charged with contempt and prosecuted accordingly.

Meantime, they need to consider the amount of damage being done - to the public opinion of the players, their club, their code and professional footballers in general - by their past abuse and maltreatment of her, including the ramifications of their recent public statements about her...

Moreover, the football establishment (along with the Govt) needs to revisit the terms of their contracts and associated codes of conduct - to stomp out the disrespectful and demeaning culture towards women and girls...

There needs to be a combination of large automatic monetary penalties and instant contract terminations for certain offences...

I also believe that the child protection laws need to be more specific and less open to interpretation - as evidenced by the many different interpretations made by people on this thread alone...
