It's come to my attention that some of those appointed to Gillards new school funding panel, entrusted with the responsibility of reviewing  private and public schools funding are of concern.

Lets start with disgraced Ken Boston.

...

How boss behind SATs fiasco enjoyed yacht club, Chelsea flat and free flights... all funded by taxpayer

Quote:
The head of the Government exam agency behind the SATs marking fiasco resigned yesterday, hours after The Mail on Sunday uncovered details of his taxpayer-funded perks.

Dr Ken Boston, chief executive of the Qualifications and Curriculum Authority, apologised to pupils, teachers and parents and said it would be in the ‘authority’s interests to find new leadership’.

This was in the UK, back in 2008.

Well, now the self-serving and UK disgraced con-artist has resigned, and returned to Australia, this and has been hand-picked by Gillard herself to join her new school-funding panel.

It gets worse,

There's his concerning 'Healthquest' Soviet-style human rights abuse saga, which he left Australia for the UK to escape.

Of the more than 70 panellists, only 5 names have been released.

-David Gonski AC (panel chairman)

- Dr Ken Boston AO,
-Professor Carmen Lawrence
-Kathryn GreinerAO
- Dr Peter Tannock AM.

Gillards school funding review panel chairman David Gonski AC says that although he has spent all his career in the corporate sector,he would love Australia to adopt the US system whereby business people could have stints in government in various roles.

One thing that strikes me strange with the 5  leading School funding panellists Gillard has chosen for her new school funding panel is their strong sectoral educational roots/ties  ...as though she were attempting to appease private sectoral schools, almost exclusively.

Yet Gillard herself is a self-declared atheist, and delivers an almost convincing sermon on a teachers union blog  intended to titillate public school parents and staff, insisting her objective is to give more to public education, distribute the wealth more evenly, this and improve the status of public schools right around Australia, in hope to lure more students back to the public system.

With 5 religious panellists who have each been educated in exclusive private schools themselves leading a panel entrusted with the duty of reviewing both public and private school funding right across Australia, does this sound right to you?

A Jewish anthropologist chairman and 4 devout Christians are the leading lights of this school funding review panel.

Yes, this is only 5 of the 70 odd panellists listed, but it's interesting how they attempt to sell the package, by naming those they think will appeal to those keen enough to delve into this panel.

Lol, and to think, the left made fun of Tony Abbott, refer to him as the mad monk.

Cool

All of these 5 leading panellists are adamant in nurturing religious education in both our public and private schools...fiercely adamant in fact.

This sounds more like Bill Shortens panel to me....this and him trying to republicanise /Americanise Australian education.

Cool Be careful, because once it's done, there will be no going back.

So what's with Labors corporate co-dependency?

Anyone would think they lacked faith in their own ministers ability to solve their own problems.

Wasn't Gillard herself an education minister?

Grin

How much is this school funding panel costing us?

Can we afford to pay 60 or so panel members to do the job of one labor Minister, this and still pay the education minister for the job she's not doing.

Oh that's right, she's resigned, along with all the rest.

The thing is, Howard took responsibility for his policies, this and was not this secretive about his process... I mean, take a look at it for gods sake, note the date it was published as a media release onto the DoE website, and submissions of community interest, (not that they will be taken into consideration as the anonymous cherry-picked panel has already been decided) closes in March, in just a few weeks.

Labor are conducting themselves very secretly, why?

http://www.deewr.gov.au/Schooling/ReviewofFunding/Documents/PanelMediaRelease.pd...

Secret panels, secret media releases, what the frick is up with this government?

Roll Eyes

Just over 60 panel members made up of union bosses, investors and stakeholders will decided the future funding of our children's schools, and this applies to both public and private schools.

You're a joke, mellie.

Believe it!

Abbott is a nasty piece of work and the crack smokers are wondering what the hell they are going to tell their kids after they got but wild with the ugly things that wouldn't go away during the old-man-years.

Things change.

Abbott will change and embrace the NBN or he won't survive.

Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Then you will change!  Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy

Crack is great isn't it?!!? Boring, but still great for breakfast lunch and boring tea!

Then you can't sleep and... oh, lucky you've got some more crack!
