One thing that strikes me strange with the 5 leading School funding panellists Gillard has chosen for her new school funding panel is their strong sectoral educational roots/ties ...as though she were attempting to appease private sectoral schools, almost exclusively.
Yet Gillard herself is a self-declared atheist, and delivers an almost convincing sermon on a teachers union blog intended to titillate public school parents and staff, insisting her objective is to give more to public education, distribute the wealth more evenly, this and improve the status of public schools right around Australia, in hope to lure more students back to the public system.
With 5 religious panellists who have each been educated in exclusive private schools themselves leading a panel entrusted with the duty of reviewing both public and private school funding right across Australia, does this sound right to you?
A Jewish anthropologist chairman and 4 devout Christians are the leading lights of this school funding review panel.
Yes, this is only 5 of the 70 odd panellists listed, but it's interesting how they attempt to sell the package, by naming those they think will appeal to those keen enough to delve into this panel.
Lol, and to think, the left made fun of Tony Abbott, refer to him as the mad monk.
All of these 5 leading panellists are adamant in nurturing religious education in both our public and private schools...fiercely adamant in fact.
This sounds more like Bill Shortens panel to me....this and him trying to republicanise /Americanise Australian education.
Be careful, because once it's done, there will be no going back.
