bobby,
Quote:Yes Abu,
The Jews were in Israel 2000 years ago - just read the Bible for some proof.
Can you read? As has been stated, they were there 2000 years ago, but they left, and for the past 2500 years have had no sovereign state there, and for the past 1800 years no state at all, and no sizable presence. That's the point here, in case you hadn't noticed.
Quote:Didn't they crucify Christ?
Well they did incite it, but they didn't actually carry out the sentence, because they weren't the rulers of the land, the Romans were. This is all very well known fact, I can't believe you dead heads are here contesting it all. Honestly it's as tedious as trying to sweep a desert in a sandstorm.
Lisa,
Quote:Abu .. it's probably a good idea that you NOT read the Bible.
Hold onto that thought...
Quote:No! The Jews are in THEIR original homeland.
Obviously haven't read your own Bible have you? Never heard of a little place called Ur Kasdim? Strangely enough the Bible tells us it's the _original_ homeland of the Jews.
Quote:And furthermore God states quite clearly in the Bible .. that it will remain THEIR homeland .. forever.
Well for most of their recorded history it hasn't been their homeland, so one would have to therefore call into account the authenticity of the Bible.
Quote:Huh? Just caught this nonsense on the way out.
Spain was never originally your land.
Likewise .. the Jews are the original owners of their land.
Again, don't seem too clued up on your own Bible. I'd suggest you go and have a little read about the Canaanites, Jebusites, Girgashites etc.
Quote:You do realise that the Palestinians are the squatters HENCE why Israel is a nation state .. and Palestine isn't.
The simple fact is that Palestinians can trace their ancestry in the land back hundreds or thousands of years. About 95% of Jews cannot trace their ancestry in the land back more than 100 years... Most are quite obviously Russian, Ukrainian, English, Polish, German, American etc. they have no traceable origin in the land at all. They ARE squatters, and not native to the land.
