I am not Jewish, and i have no knowledge of any Jewish heritage in my family.

The conflict between Islam and the Jews goes back to the days of Mohammad.

Mohammad was a thief, a highway robber who would steal from the trade caravans that passed between Syria and Mecca thats how he financed the Ummah when he was in Medina.
Mohammad never had a problem with stealing from non muslims he condoned it as long as his followers gave him 20% of all booty.

Mohammad tried to steal the Jewish religion,he told them he was their new prophet and they would have to make changes to their holy books.

Mohammad certainly hoped the jews would accept him as a prophet.He believed he brought the same basic message as the Old Testament prophets-strict monotheism.He did many things to win them over such as fasting on Yom Kippur,the jewish day of atonement,facing jerusalem in prayer,compusory circumcision,following many dietry and clothing customs of the jews.The Quran is full of stories of the OT prophets.

But when the vast majority of jews refused to accept him as a prophet he turned against them when in power in Medina,accusing them of treachery and killing many and evicting the rest.
The Sira of Ibn Hisham covers this amongst other books.

The genocide of the Jews known as the Banu Qurayza saw 900 jews massacred by muslims in 1 day
