Green support in NSW slumps: Newspoll
Mar 13th, 2011 at 1:52pm

VOTERS in NSW are locked in to consign the state Labor government to history at the March 26 election, according to the latest Newspoll.
Support for Labor continues to hover at about a quarter of voters and, in even worse news for NSW Premier Kristina Keneally, nine out of 10 voters have already made up their minds.

Primary support for Labor is up three points, to 26 per cent, but Coalition support has risen by four points, to 50 per cent -- the first time in 15 years the Liberals and Nationals in NSW have attracted support from half of all voters.

The poll was conducted exclusively for The Weekend Australian between Tuesday and Thursday this week . . . . . . . .

The poll also finds that support for the Greens has collapsed since the last Newspoll, which was conducted in January and last month.

In a sign of possible collateral damage from Julia Gillard's proposed carbon tax, support for the Greens has fallen six points, to 11 per cent.

Know the enemies of a civil society by their public behaviour, by their fraudulent claim to be liberal-progressive, by their propensity to lie and, above all, by their attachment to authoritarianism.

Not only are the polls showing Gillard to be on the nose over the carbon tax, the same seems to be true of the Greens.

The people have woken up!

As far as NSW, the big issue is not the lower house, it is the upper house. Will The Greens attain the balance of power so they can moderate the Hard Right's extremism.

The Greens and labor are in free fall - bit late for her to fall back on a Porn career after the election, she is a bit long in the tooth for it now. - Yuck! Cool  Greens are down 5% and labors vote drops by the hour. Grin Grin

Bob Browns personal approval is at an all time low in his own constituency, he wont get re-elected, the people of Tasmania will punish him for sure and boot him out. Cool Voter disapproval with Brown is running at 97% dissatisfied. Cool

Green's Primary have increased federally because some voters don't trust Labor to hold it's nerve on pricing Carbon. Labor will be required to hold it's nerve and do a lot better selling the Carbon Pricing if they are out to increase their primary off Liberals and Independents.

As for NSW, less than two weeks until we know. So for now it's more wait and see rather than wild claims.

As for the upper house, looks like the Hard Right are on track. If this does eventuate the only positive is NSW voters will have lashed out at Labor via the State election and may be better to them come the next federal election in a couple of years.

here is latest from Antony Green on NSW Poll

You are playing semantics - word games, but most of what you post is bald faced lies - you think others are doing it because its all you ever do. Smiley

It's of no concern to the Greens and more than likely a backlash to the ongoing propaganda that has been thrown at them recently.

They remain positive about their position and after this nuclear explosion in Japan - their ratings will be boosted again.

A question asked on Insiders this morning - "does Newspoll run this country?"

Seeing as Murdoch owns it - he probably does run the country.

Quote:
National Greens leader Bob Brown, who also attended the launch, said he was not concerned about a poll showing support for the party falling from 17 to 11 per cent in the past few weeks.

"It was diametrically opposed to the other poll showing a boost to the Green vote in Marrickville where Fiona (Byrne) is intending to be the first Greens member representing that electorate as Jamie (Parker) is intending to be for Balmain," Senator Brown told reporters.

"You have got two polls in exactly the opposite direction - if you take a steady mean out of that, you have got Greens in both houses of parliament."

Face facts woody. Newspoll for NSw - Greens 11%.
You've been dumped by 6% and it's got everything to do with this ludicrous carbon tax that Gillard, led on by your powerdrunk mates, thought was going to get her loved by the people.
She's not only not loved, she stinks and she's going to be looking to lash out at the Greens.
Your brief moment in the sun is over . . . .ha ha ha!!!
