How much cheaper would overseas luxury cars be if all extra taxes and tariffs were removed?
Who wouldnt rather buy a top of the range BMW or Mercedes rather than a Commodore or Falcon?

you think tariifs are the only difference between a $90K HSV/FPV and a $300K top BMW/Merc?

it IS a luxury car.

Longweekend- you can't compete with Nail's luxury car.
Those soft leather seats get babes.  Grin

already got leather seats, boof-head.

Longweekend - unless you put aftermarket leather seats in
your clunker I can bet it had vinyl seats as standard?

take a look at the options. the GT has leather as an option - which almost everyone takes and the GT-P has it as standard.

you've never been in a high-end car have you?

I still dont see how stopping tariffs and cutting taxes on imported cars is going to make luxury imported cars 3 times the price.

it wont!  LOL. ther are ALREADY 3 times the price. a car comparable to a highend FPV/HSV is $150K-$200 and usually not as fast.

why dont you find out what the tariff is on cars then do a bit of maths and get back to us on it. a decreason of $10k-$20k hardly changes the dynamic any.

have you even driven a high-end locally made car?

why dont you step out of characted and do a little basic research on the car. you will find little thigns called facts. and what car coems with a vinyl bench seat in the front anyhow? do ANY cars stil ahve them beyond the 30year ld crap you probably drive?

your jealousy is a little transparent.

yeah because that is the topic at hand...

when youve driven a high performance car then everything else seems so passe...

next car is a FPV GTP-P 335 with the 420Kw Herrod upgrade. $100K of pure driving pleasure. faster than a BMW M3 and half the price - especially if you want to repair it!

then maybe you should drive a Tesla Wink

and what's the point in having this power with speed limits around ?

and what difference would it make driving through peak hour stop start traffic which would make it a much more expensive journey ? I'd hardly call that something to get excited about.
