That poor girl...

Such a shame a girl in our country can meet such a fate. The people responsible should be held accountable without mercy, in my opinion.

I've only just finished reading the article on what happened to the poor little girl.

http://au.news.yahoo.com/a/-/newshome/9249690/vigils-still-held-for-young-kiesha...

Very shocking and sad.

if you dont like/want your child please bring it to us.. and we will find a good home for her/him

strange thing I now but we have discarded animal homes.. and places to put discarded clothes.furniture.all of which goes to good homes that want it..

yet these children who must just NOT be wanted..are left in misery and death even.

We do have a thing in place to protect children....DOCS

The department is as dysfunctional as the families that they are trying to protect. This family were known to docs as are many who end up killing their children. The system is not working. They are more interested in leaving the children with the family even if they are at risk. Is it because of a shortage of foster carers? nowhere else to put the children if they are removed? who knows?

The system is broken as is the case with most governmental departments. The government is dysfunctional so what chance do the people that depend on them have?
NONE!

I didnt know the family were known to DOCs..how cruel is that?.

I try not to judge books by their cover but I look at the stepfather and shudder a bit..

I know thats not right either.

but I think of that child looking at that man who was meant to protect her and wonder what she saw..

DOCs I think its need a massive overhaul.. and a massive intake of workers..

bad parents or dysfunctional parents need visits every day I am thinking.

and somewhere we have to draw the line.. and say these children need to be removed..no ifs or buts..we are failing.. and thats just not good enough.
