If troops were occupying near my house, I'd be attacking them there, not going to the other side of the country to attack them, as you two clowns seem to suggest is the way it's done.

I sincerely hope one day you find yourself in that situation. Being cowards though, I know you would both flee before troops even came near your homes.

You have a very strange idea of 'heroic' then....

So it's 'heroic' to you to put your family in the line of fire, just so you can have home cooked meals and sleep in your own bed??

And it's 'cowardice' to go off and attempt to stop the enemy reaching your house???

What about hiding behind civilians while carrying out out a military campaign? I thought Islam forbade that. Or is that ban only for non-Muslims?

In case you hadn't noticed, the occupying terrorists are crawling all over their country, no need to leave your home really. If you leave your home, you will be facing them already, hence the reason clashes sometimes occur near their homes. But the vast majority of families murdered by the savage invaders are done via drones, based on tip offs, with no connection to any direct engagement whatsoever, they have nothing to do with anyone being home or not home. By making this an issue, you're just trying to divert from the actual point which is the wanton murder of women and children.

Have you provided an example of Afghan resistance fighters doing this? Or do you honestly think we're going to base our  discussion around the propagandous picture you've painted here?

Abu, I'm trying to get across the idea that IF they'd attack the convoys 3 or 4 k's down the road, then ALL the drone bombers and missiles in the world wouldn't have hit the village....because they'd have been fired at the attack site, not the nearest village...

And the responsibility for the deaths of the women and children are shared equally between the Afghans AND the Coalition forces....

Firstly I'm pretty sure most of the attacks occur more than 3 or 4 km from their own homes. Secondly, so what you go do it next to someone elses village/home, and then they bomb them? You can't seem to grasp that the entire country is under invasion/occupation, you have little choice but to resist them wherever you can.

Most drone attacks are based on tip offs and other "intelligence", they're not a direct response to an immediate engagement. They specifically target the homes of people they have been informed are commanders, whether or not a direct engagement has even been verified with that person.

It is nothing but barbarity, and you only erode your own humanity by supporting it.

No! It's solely on those who've traveled half way round the world to murder innocents to maintain their dominance over a volatile and resource rich region.

Don't try to share the blame on the victims and their families, that is just despicable behaviour on your part.

Abu, do you really expect that having attacked and killed allied soldiers, your taliban friends expect no retaliation? As the American general Nathan Bedford Forrest noted "War means fightin' and fightin' means killin'." The taliban know this as well as anyone else and they fully understand the consequences of using civilians as human shields. However they continue to do so for the propaganda value.
I would suspect that many of the civilians used as shields aren't actually family at all, merely some poor people who have no choice but to shelter the taliban or suffer the consequences.

You attempt to defend the indefensible.

Do you really expect the Afghan people are ever going to accept the U.S invasion/occupation of their country? When soldiers invade/occupy your land, what will you do? Being a coward probably flee I'd say, but for real men, the only choice is to resist and expel them.

...abu-- the very reason Islam and Muslims are becoming more hated in this country.
Perhaps you should bugger off and live with your terrorist mates- that way we'd have every justification for taking you out.

Islam and Muslims are not becoming more hated, in fact day by day Islam is growing amongst average Aussies like myself.

What you mean is that racist hatemongers are becoming more emboldened in expressing their hatred of any non-Anglo Aussies, Muslims often being a favourite target, as you can hide behind the guise of "I'm just opposing terrorism, not Muslims" or "Islam is a religion not a race".
