Interestingly their religion isn't mentioned

Isn't it interesting that the fact they're Christians isn't mentioned once. Surely if they were Muslims, it would've been the primary feature of the story, and the hatemongers would've been trying to stir their favourite pot [the stew of intolerance] yet again...

Interesting that nobody is trying to link this to the entire Christian community of Australia, demanding they condemn it and prevent it and take responsibility for it etc., or use it as a reason for why we should halt Christian immigration...

Far from the war, beauty pageant sparks violence

Beauty pageants are not usually associated with machete brawls that send blood spilling into the street and young men to hospital or jail.

Would-be beauty queen Nyajime Kong feels only disappointment that Melbourne's Miss South Sudan competition ended up that way.

"I felt pretty bad because we all came from a country where there is still war going on," she said.

"We lost so many people in our lives: most of us lost mothers, fathers, brothers.

"If you left your country to make a better life, why would you want to destroy the opportunity you're given?"

The frivolous glamour of the Miss South Sudan pageant spun into three separate violent outbursts involving young, drunk Sudanese in Melbourne over Easter.

Deyon Machok, 20, and James Makur, 21, yesterday appeared in court charged with 11 counts each of affray and causing serious injury.

They were part of a fight that broke out between two groups early on Tuesday morning. Those involved eventually turned on police, and two officers were attacked.

Mr Machok allegedly used a machete to hack a man who tried to intervene as he was fighting with a friend.

It was the tail end of a long weekend that began with hundreds of Sudanese flocking to Melbourne to watch young girls strut their stuff in traditional, casual and formal attire before answering the all-important question of why they wanted to be Miss South Sudan.

"The guys drink and then they fight," said Nyakor Tut, who won the competition.

"They're used to it, especially in Sudan -- they fight all the time.

"Maybe they're just used to it and are still getting used to the culture here."

Deputy Police Commissioner Ken Jones offered a similar view.

Young refugees from war-torn countries often struggled to adapt to new laws and and ways of living in other countries, he said.

"The youngsters coming out of there have known little else and it does take them a long time to make the transition," he said.

Police are investigating possible links with two other clashes, one at an after-party for the pageant on Sunday at which people were attacked with machetes and bike chains.

There were similar overtones at a Miss Africa competition in Adelaide last year, which led to more than 100 people brawling in the city's main entertainment precinct. Ms Kong, who placed in the top four at Miss South Sudan, said the event itself had gone off without a hitch.

"Everyone was cheering because they were all happy," she said.

She and pageant co-founder Galuak Phillip put the violence down to alcohol and "misunderstandings" among the youths.

"We wanted to bring young people together and help them integrate into Australian society," Mr Phillip said.

"We need to protect ourselves and make sure it doesn't happen again.

"We will try 100 per cent (but) we can't control everything."

"Maybe it's because they're angry at the world," said Ms Kong, who does not know

whether her father in Africa is alive or dead. "They should know better."

IF A CHRISTIAN [or any other person] DOES VIOLENCE AND EVIL, IS HE REBUKED AND CONDEMNED BY CHRISTIAN SCRIPTURE ???

Psalms 5:5
The foolish shall not stand in thy sight: thou hatest all workers of iniquity.
6  Thou shalt destroy them that speak leasing [deceit]: the LORD will abhor the bloody and deceitful man.

Psalms 7:11
God judgeth the righteous, and God is angry with the wicked every day.

Psalms 11:4
The LORD is in his holy temple, the LORD'S throne is in heaven: his eyes behold, his eyelids try, the children of men.
5  The LORD trieth the righteous: but the wicked and him that loveth violence his soul hateth.

A COMPARISON...

FIRSTLY...

Christianity's imperative [as per Christian scripture];

Matthew 7:12
Therefore all things whatsoever ye would that men should do to you, do ye even so to them: for this is the law and the prophets.

Matthew 22:36
Master, which is the great commandment in the law?
37  Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.
38  This is the first and great commandment.
39  And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.

Psalms 34:14
Depart from evil, and do good; seek peace, and pursue it.

Romans 12:18
If it be possible, as much as lieth in you, live peaceably with all men.
19  Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord.
20  Therefore if thine enemy hunger, feed him; if he thirst, give him drink: for in so doing thou shalt heap coals of fire on his head.
21  Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good.

Matthew 18:15
Moreover if thy brother shall trespass against thee, go and tell him his fault between thee and him alone: if he shall hear thee, thou hast gained thy brother.
16  But if he will not hear thee, then take with thee one or two more, that in the mouth of two or three witnesses every word may be established.
17  And if he shall neglect to hear them, tell it unto the church: but if he neglect to hear the church, let him be unto thee as an heathen man and a publican.

[i.e. separate yourself from them those who are not 'approved' by God]

SECONDLY...

ISLAM's imperative [as per ISLAMIC scripture];

"O ye who believe! Fight those of the disbelievers who are near to you, and let them find harshness in you, and know that Allah is with those who keep their duty (unto Him)."
Koran 9.123

"...And why should ye not fight in the cause of Allah...Those who believe fight in the cause of Allah, and those who reject Faith Fight in the cause of Evil: So fight ye against the friends of Satan:.."
Koran 4.74-76

"Fighting [against unbelievers] is prescribed for you, and [if] ye dislike it.....Allah knoweth, and ye know not."
Koran 2.216

"Allah hath purchased of the believers their persons and their goods;....they fight in His cause, and slay and are slain:..."
Koran 9.111

"A man came to the Prophet and asked, "A man fights for war booty; another fights for fame and a third fights for showing off; which of them fights in Allah's Cause?" The Prophet said, "He who fights that Allah's Word (i.e. Islam) should be superior, fights in Allah's Cause." "

Proverbs 9:6
Forsake the foolish, and live; and go in the way of understanding.
7  He that reproveth a scorner getteth to himself shame: and he that rebuketh a wicked man getteth himself a blot.
8  Reprove not a scorner, lest he hate thee: rebuke a wise man, and he will love thee.
9  Give instruction to a wise man, and he will be yet wiser: teach a just man, and he will increase in learning.
10  The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom: and the knowledge of the holy is understanding.

Doesn't matter what religion these scumbags are, they don't belong here. As South Sudan is now its own country there is no reason for these people to remain in Australia. Let them be returned to where their primitive cultural mores are acceptable.
