And what. It shouldnt suprise you as it does not me. He has policies for what he does or does not believe in. He states he doesnt believe that the science is settled, yet he comes out with a policy to deal with it. It is not a leap to then believe its possible. Isnt that what you want people to do. Believe. Or did you think it should be more like love at first sight. Believe at first hearing.

I would rather Abbotts policy than Juliar's. If he changes his policy, then I will change my vote. If you want me to make this out to be some big lie or conspiracy, then I cant help you.

I know why he doesn't like the Labor Carbon Tax!  He wants Motorists to pay, not the 1000 top polluters!

Grin

you are convinced its  the TOP 1000 that WILL PAY THIS TAX..

the TOP as the left points out repeatedly... pay almost nothing they have ways and means of passing it down the line..

have you noticed Alan Bond and Rodney Adler... both convicts..both ripped poor people off to the tune of millions...

both living VERY HIGH OFF THE HOG today.whilst their creditors are still owed millions.

there is nothing just about injustice..

my daughter has just had a govt paid for solar system put on her roof...increasing the value of her property by a substantial amount I believe..

not only have I paid for the instalation. I will be paying for it with my power bills in the future... after all someone has TO PAY.nothing is free.

you seem to think thats acceptable.

Nope. Any govt created market is not a free market.

Let the market create the market. The only reason for the govt created market has been the alarmists to "do something" before "Armageddon" or the alleged "tipping point"

Most sane people recognize the bs behind this proposition

So you're proposing a market with absolutely NO regulation.  Well done.

The sane people recognise the BS behind that.

.

...and back with the two year old thread starter video...

Hmmm... if yer watch the longer version yer get a better context of Tony Abbotts comments.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZoCKhNr8Atk&NR=1

Early on there is the comment that then Prime Minister Rudd had an elected mandate for the ETS. There is also the comment that Malcolm Turnbull is the Lib leader.

The world has changed since the Tony Abbot interview. Now the Australian population is far better informed of the 'carbon scam' and now the majority of Australians dont want to pay anything fer the Gore and useful idiot Greens 'carbon' scam.

Our current Prime Minister does NOT have a mandate fer any 'carbon' tax/ETS as she went to an election stating not in her term.

ELECTION NOW .. Cool

How much will Abbott's alternative plan cost, and how will it be funded?

Abbott's alternative plan is estimated at over 10 billion dollars, and  imagine the hidden costs? besides the fact he isn't really very good at economics, we all remember his 12 billion dollar black hole from the last election.

OH, I forgot, Abbott's alternate plan can only be funded one way, 10 billion bucks funded by tax payers, with NO compensation.

Abbott could do that standing on his head, just by not being the wasteful incompetent labor party.

Easy -  all he would have to do is accede to the wishes of the people and stop ridiculous compensation claims for refugees.

Somehow I don't think that alone will raise $10B or more. Any other thoughts?
