India V Pakistan: The Border Closing Ceremony
Jun 20th, 2011 at 6:38am

A must see clip if ever there was one.
Note the mention of the high likelihood of India & Pakistan becoming the world's first "Nuclear War" (I told you so Wink).
A war that would indeed be "quite silly really". Roll Eyes
[EDIT: ok - the Sunrise clip isn't gonna work. So you'll just have to watch the BBC one]

...and there's this one from the BBC, a bit more showy.

Very interesting......except the vid is from 2008, and it's traditional ceremony that's been carried out every evening since 1959...
It's the Indian/Pakistan version of the British 'Changing of the Guard' ceremony at Buckingham Palace, with a little bit of the Maori Haka thrown in...

Yeah - the sunrise clip actually mentions the Monty Python "Silly Walk" and the potential for Pak/Ind to be the world's first 'official' Nuclear War. How the Guards get injuries from the forceful stompin.

Kinda sad though, more and more stuff being shown by Television and the Newspapers are way past the Used-By-Date, in that they are things that have been doing the rounds for weeks, months, let alone 4 years (as in one case regarding some underwater footage).

I agree though, the Border Ceremony is kinda 'intense' in a way but the handshake at the end is a good sign. You might think India has the advantage over the much smaller Pakistan, but Bangladesh is a staunch Paki ally. Not to mention, other Moslem nations will be pouring 'under-the-table' support into Pakistan from behind the scenes, whereas India is on its own.

Rubbish...the clip also mentions that both countries have 'toned' down the stomping etc, to reduce the risk of injury.....sounds more like a 'show' than a potential for conflict...

Pakistan is a muslim nation so repeat after me: Islam is a religion of peace. That being said it is not likely that hostilities between India and Pakistan have any chance of building to the possibility of war.

Relax. Have some dip.

Pakistan was created by carving a chunk out of Hindustan because the muslims couldnt get along with the Hindu.
Did stealing land from the Hindu to give to the muslims work with appeasing them for peace?
Did the muslims ever thank the west for creating Pakistan or are they too busy whingeing about Israel?

Pakistan does their bit for the war on terror they gave Osama protection in a nice neighborhood.

Lots of foreign aid going to pakistan from the USA its nearly as much as they give Israel!

Leftists and the Ayatollahs have a lot in common when it comes to criticism of Islam, they don't tolerate it.
