We missed 3 kicks and the all blax got 5 from 5. You'ld reasonably assume we get 2 from 3 and the all blacks get 4 from 5. Which is a 9 pt turnaround. Which puts that match within reach - easily.

Maybe but the Aussies were playing badly.
They had more possession of the ball but they just couldn't
pass it down the backline smoothly & make breaks through the
very tight All Black defense.
Sure - the Aussies had one good breakaway try but
that's not enough - they have to make the conditions which
give rise to that.
That would include e.g. a fast long pass or clever tap kick
to where the All Blacks are weakest & catch them off guard
defending the wrong position.

This is like a chess game & the smartest team will win.
I think the All Blacks are just more clever & are mostly likely to win.

However the All Blacks have been known to choke on important matches
so anyone could win.

Choke ?

All Blacks had food poisoning in South Africa and were beaten in extra time in one of the world cup finals.

Meanwhile the one time they won was on home soil.

This will be the second world cup on home soil.

Hoping they will choke is not a likely outcome this time.

No, they nailed their kicks, and scored a try from a knock on. Factor these in and the game is a lot closer than the scoreline makes it look.
Look at the amount of possession aussie had in their 22 - all blacks had good defence to keep them from crossing the line, but they wouldn't be happy conceding so much teritory and possession.

Match stats - all blacks on the left. Show me what stat points to the wallabies being outplayed (apart from the score, obviously)

That's why they were the better team.

I watched the full game twice.
This modern Rugby is starting to look like Rugby League.
One side can keep possession by using the offside rule to keep
their opponents away from the ball - & passing it back.
Often they are not making any ground by doing so.
It's a weak - low risk strategy which isn't good enough against the All Blacks.

Everything clicked for the blax, no bounce of the ball for the wallabies The next match up ............... I'ld be picking the green and gold. Best thing is though, everyone beat the 'box

Are you saying that the Wallabies kicked a lot of clever grub kicks
& didn't get the bounce?
They didn't,

missing also were clever dummy passes with 2 possible
team members who could take the ball at the same time or

passing the ball back from a scrum in front of the goal posts
& kicking a drop goal.

The Aussies had no brains -
just a bunch of losers who don't deserve to win this cup.
