That wouldn't have mattered.  There would have been another player to replace him.

Yes it's a violent game.
It reminds me of the Roman gladiators.

I would say the Roman gladiators experienced much more violence.  How many Aviva Premiership players get attacked by lions during a match?

By the way, there's a 2,000 year old Roman ampitheatre (or at least the remains of it) in Chester, not too far from where I live in Bolton and gladiators fought lions and other animals - as well as with other gladiators - there.

It's amazing what you can find in Britain if you did.

In Australia if somebody digs up something 100 years old it is considered ancient.

The Wallabies won today .

Australia withstood tremendous pressure from South Africa to edge their quarter-final against the Springboks 11-9 in Wellington on Sunday.

Now they must play the All Blacks.
They won in the last big match in Brisbane.
It will be a top match next weekend.

The All Blacks didn't look so good against the Argys even though they won  33-10.

The game against SA was magnificant.
We played a terrible strategy, I hate kicking away possession to the opposition, esp with our backline.

Was SUCH a tough game makes the ABs have an easy game next week.

When theyve got blokes like Morne Steyn who can kick penalties from halfway, playing for territory is the way to go.

Very normally the team that gets the most tries wins.
You only get a try by keeping possession.

if you kick it away, the opps will run it back at you, and you'll have to tackle them.
It gets your team into a defensive mindset and them into an attaking mindset.

It's a simple game. The forwards win possession, give it to the backs, they get the tries.
Run to your support and pass it.

Fair call, but....

That is not how this game went. Our time in possesion was SFA and the defensive game (almost 3x's the takles) we played was magnificant.

But.....you can't keep that up and soon you will start losing.

Great win all the same. Cool

magnificant win, showed we were really a 20 pt better team than SA.
that was the worst game we have played for years.

But now, that was our grand final game and our tank is empty.
AB's had an easyish game (despite injuries), they will be fresh next week. We will be fatigued.

yed, I'ld pick wales above france.
France are hot and cold. wales are VERY fit.

Its hard to overcome opponents when they just keep running.
if wales just keep running for 80 minutes, anyone will have to be on their game ot beat them.
