So, folks, there you have it: right whingers tend to have short attention spans and therefore little capacity for processing alternative points of view!

This probably explains why Tony Abbott has taken it upon himself to narrow complex policy issues down to parroted slogans of 3 to 5 words...

You want to pretend you understood half of what Malalai Joya said?

I watched Q&A last night, especially because Malalai Joya was on.

I noted that she did have something derogatory to say about "the Israel Zionist state", but i couldn't make it out.

To be expected i suppose.      Sad

I noted also that Malalai Joya criticised the presence of foreign troops in Afghanistan - relating to the death of civilians.

And she talk up the virtue of at least some ['open'] education being available in Afghanistan.

But, surely Malalai Joya realises that unless schools [and other societal institutions] are protected, by the presence of those foreign troops [atm], that the Taliban would close those secular schools, with bombings and murders ?

Ironically, i too, believe that we should remove ALL Western troops from Afghanistan [and every moslem nation].

i.e.
Let the moslems stew, in their own juices.
Un-'Christian' ???
No.

ISLAM is the choice of moslem nations.
How will moslems learn from their mistakes, if we [the West] continually 'patronise' moslem nations, when we see them 'struggling' with the consequences of their OWN choices ??? ]

Dictionary;
patronize = =
1 [often as adj. patronizing] treat with an apparent kindness which betrays a feeling of superiority.
2 frequent (an establishment) as a customer.
3 act as a patron towards (a person, organization, etc.).

I'm not a fan of rap, but did anyone listen to the message? Does anyone care about his generation?

Well RAP is hard to swallow but i do agree that he had a valid point to make even if he was not particularly articulate in the way he delivered it. On the whole though it was an appalling night on Q&A and in sufferance i would have to agree with the loopy right that it has just got to be crap over the last few months. What started out an excellant program has deteriorated to rubbish. Between the way Jones moderates and the rubbish most of the panellist carry on with it has become a poor representation of opinion and lacks objectivity. About the only person that makes any sense when he is on is Turnbull. He seems to be able to get around Jones to make his point in a calm and balanced way. The rest of the pollies carry on like it's a school popularity contest.
