Tony Abbott stirring up fear amongst seniors

Check out the 'tone' of his voice as he speaks (LIES) to our senior citizens. He talks to them like children,.. the elitist rat!
Angry

My gran sees straight through him..She says he's a devil in disguise and cannot stand the way he speaks down to the elderly..She says he's a horrible 'little' man with no class...she's 87. God love la!

You can only fool some of the people some of the time Tony...as they say.

We love you Julia!! Kiss Kiss Kiss

And it's just such a pity that He's absolutely right and the Carbon Tax system as currently designed won't produce ANY benefit to Climate Change or Global Warming.....

I won't even bother to mention Tanya Plibersek's speech to seniors about the one metre sea level rise....

It's politicians in general, they speak to us like we're all stupid.

A boy that went to Cambridge acting elitist, we can forgive him.

This is tiring...

So you think we should do nothing?

Do you think we should pollute more just to mock the situation?

Do you really think other countries will hear that Australia is polluting less so they will pollute more?

At the very least I think the carbon tax will help the renewable energy industry. As you are probably aware many of our industries are closing down.

China said that instead of increasing its emissions by 500%, it will only increase its emissions by 25% by 2020. It made this announcement soon after Australia announced the carbon tax.

Doing something is always better then doing nothing. The more people / countries do nothing, the more likely nothing will get done. The more people / countries do something, the more likely something will get done. We can't just wallow in our own crap.

You may argue the carbon tax is too expensive for you, but Tony Abbott's "Direct Action" plan will be about 50% more expensive by 2020. So instead of being out of pocket $1000, you will be out of pocket $1500.

Yes Julia said she wouldn't and after the election circumstances changed and she changed her mind. But I don't understand how spending an extra $500 in protest will really work either.

Even with the carbon tax in place this govt is still way behind Howards govt which taxed Aussies at record rates.
Even disregarding the 30 billion dollars of tax cuts and pension increases this Labor govt is still taxing Aussies old and young much less than the Howard govt did.
Neo cons whined when the Libs were in charge and they are still whinging, whoever is in govt makes no difference, they are just anxiety riddled, fearful, negative people and that will never change.
They choose to ignore the simple facts that Howard taxed them more than any govt previously and any govt since. These people are so predictable that they squeal like stuck pigs whenever Queenie Jones and Truck Stop Abbott pull the levers.

Federal Opposition frontbencher Tony Abbott has urged his Coalition colleagues to support his call for the pension age to be lifted to at least 70.   Shocked

In the Budget the Government announced a plan to lift the pension eligibility age to 67 by the year 2023.   Angry

But Mr Abbott says the Opposition should go further, and give people the opportunity to work for longer.

"I don't see it as unreasonable at all to raise the pension age, and it's not so much saying to people, work till you drop, it's saying to people we do not want to prematurely shut you out of economic participation in our society," he said.   Shocked

He says people would understand if the Coalition took the policy to the next election.

Mr Abbott says the electorate would understand the reasons for changing the rules.

"I mean this idea that you should study until you're 25, and then retire when you're 55 or 60 and then live effectively on the taxpayer for another 30 years it's not a recipe for a productive successful society into the future," he said.   Sad

Well Mr Abbott, it may come as a shock to you, but there are some people that don't want to work until they are 70 years old.   Sad

no what you do is you get to be one of the boys.. you would like that bit buzz... and then you get one of their credit cards... then you go all hell out to get as much credit charged up to it as possible before any of the dills do an audit or someone asks a question or three..

and then you ring around all the high cost brothels.. after all its someone elses money so may as well have nothing but the best... and being one of the boys they kind of expect it..yuk.yuk..

then when things look like getting hairy you then get the ALP party boys to come to your aid and pay the lawyers.. gawd you know it isnt their money so what the bloody heck..

bang before you know it you have knocked off $150.000 ..and the PM is bending over backwards being on your side.. cant do enough for you! everything sweet!..

if they can use a shredder or make sure this all gets swept under  the carpet.. well may have to use a shovel rather than a broom. but what the heck... just being one of the boys.

she'll be apples.!

I think you will find the Labor party was going down that road as well.

trouble is when it starts getting sticky they back off..personally I think it should be left to the person when they retire.. some would love to keep working.. others cant wait to stop..draw a line in the sand and let them be their own judge of what they can and cant do.
