Police have detained about 100 activists of Ukraine's nationalist party who protested the annual pilgrimage of Hasidic Jews in southern Ukraine.

About 300 supporters of the nationalist party Svoboda, or Liberty, demanded that Hasid Jews not be allowed to gather in the town of Uman, about 125 miles (200 kilometers) south of the capital.

Close to 30,000 Hasidic Jews from around the world are expected in Uman this week to celebrate Rosh Hoshana at the grave of Rabbi Nachman of Bratslav, who died in 1810.

The protesters shouted "Ukraine for Ukrainians" at Sunday's rally.

If you had to speak plainly and honestly, your game would be given away instantly. You want a sharia-ruled world and under sharia most things now protecting your activism and agitation would be punishable by death: under your kind of system I could not speak my mind and agitate for an end of sharia.

Sharia - stick it up your jumpah. It does belong up there.

You just can't be straight and honest. You want a world ruled by sharia. But under sharia, all your current freedoms that allow you to agitate for it would be illegal and some even  punishable by death.

For you the only excuse for the freedoms you enjoy is that they enable you to undermine them. Yet you and ABu have the temerity to talk about apostay in terms of treason.

Which, incidentally also reveals the truth that Islam is a militant political creed. Its guiding self-conception and metaphor is War.

The point, of course, is that as a Jew or a Christian, you have standards to live up to.
As a Muslim, you just have to wage jihad. That's the only standard you have to lower yourself to. War in the name of Allah. That trumps everything else.
