Not just moslems.

Here is a timeline from Wikipedia

It is pretty clear they contributed fairly significantly to human knowledge at the time.

Kytro,

Bizarre isn't it ???

How that, within the realms of recent modern history, no new moslem scientific accomplishments are recorded.

Hmmmm.

Is it because no modern claims of moslem scientific accomplishments, [if they were falsely made] could have any chance of being substantiated ???

Whereas, in a time when moslems were allowed to write the account of their own history......

From your perspective, no doubt.

But you are mistaken.

I do not turn away from truth [when the truth confronts me].

I am not an ideologue.

I love the truth.

So you're a believer in evolution then?

Super.

....whoooooosh....

Wow!

A pig just flew past my window!!!

Honest.

You realise Islamic scholars came up with many discoveries that helped form the basis of modern scientific inquiry, don't you?

It's a pity it isn't as important to them as it once was.

So what?

How many papua newguinians have won the nobel prize?

How many africans have won the nobel prize?

Only 41 women have won the nobel prize since 1941.

Why dont you reign down your scorn , hatred and feelings of superiority on those groups?

You know very well.

Evolution is the accepted scientific theory for how humans (and all life ) came to be.

The theory conforms to ALL scientific disciplines .

But you have been confronted with THAT truth before havent you?

And still you believe in magical explanations.

If you seek the truth then turn your bullshit detector on when the topic is Islam.

I disagree that muslims have contributed "significantly" to knowledge, what has been invented by muslims since electricity was discovered, they would literally be still in the dark if it wasnt for the enlightened west.

Your wiki list contains so many errors i could be here all day correcting them.

There is a Persian scholar Razi in that list who was an atheist he wrote a few books on religion.
A little bit on Razi from the Pakistani atheists and agnostics should leave no doubt on whether Razi thought Islam was a load of horse manure or true-
http://www.e-paa.org/articles/freethinkers-history-muhammad-ibn-zakariya-al-razi

The first guy on the list was muslim yet his stuff comes from a Indian after the muslims conquered India this wiki article explains how his great works were translated into arabic by muslims,it was pre islamic work.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aryabhata

Omar Khayam and many others listed on your wiki link were atheists.

What gets even more interesting is look how many Persian Islamic scholars are on that list compared to arab scholars, the vast majority of them are Persian.

I caught Abu Rashid the moderator of the Islam section telling lies by claiming Ibn Sina was a muslim despite the fact many Islamic scholars declared he was ahteist!
Thread here you might understand why Abu banned me from his wankfest forum of fluent bullshit -
http://www.ozpolitic.com/forum/YaBB.pl?num=1312088017

Abdus Salam won the first nobel prize for a muslim- he worked on Pakistans nuclear program,he was from the ahmadi sect do some homework on him.

Because they are not advocating world domination and are not waging violant, deadly jihad on buses, tubes, trains, in bars and restaurants, schools universities, markets and ordinary streets around the world to achieve it.

Why else did you think Islam is ridiculed and scorned?

Discovery of 'impossible' chemical structure wins Nobel prize for Israeli

The free imagination of this Israeli allowed him to conceive of, and to discover, something, a structure in nature, which others said was impossible.

Is this trait [a willingness to seek for truth] in [many] Jews, why disproportionately Jewish people [culturally, intellectually, technologically] have achieved so much in the world ?

A.
Ask a moslem.

You are being unfair Yadda. Just ask Abu about the Muslim guy who contributed to our knowledge of flight by jumping of the tallest building he could find with feathers glued to his arms. He was the first person to prove that you definitely cannot fly just by glueing feathers to your arms. I bet he did not win a nobel prize, or even an ignobel one. This and many other examples of great Muslim scientists (all 7 of them) are listed in Abu's 'Islam and science' thread.

A typical case of Muslims mishearing and misunderstanding. The guy heard about the myth of Daedalos and Ikaros, thought he'd do better than those stinkin' pagan polytheist Greeks (insh'allah, always insh'allah) and so he hurled himslef off a tall building. Allah not insh.
Still, I thing there should be more such Muslim expetimental scientists

How many of us would even be alive today without the Muslim invention of the vaccination?

In 1718, Lady Mary Wortley Montagu reported that the Turks had a tradition of deliberately inoculating themselves with fluid taken from mild cases of smallpox, and that she had inoculated her own children.

Anyway it is well-known that Israelis like to produce chemicals:

World's biggest ecstasy dealer nabbed Rio

An Israeli believed to be the world's biggest dealer of ecstasy was arrested Saturday on a beach in Rio de Janeiro, Brazilian police announced.

Israelis are also known for their expertise in organ transplants:

Israeli organ trafficking ring arrested

Israeli police arrested six men from northern Israel accused of being involved in an organ trafficking ring.

The suspects, including a military brigadier general and two attorneys, were arrested Wednesday, according to reports. The ring allegedly identified potential organ donors through advertisements promising up to $100,000 in exchange for their kidneys. Some were reportedly paid $10,000 and others nothing at all. The transplants took place in Ecuador, Azerbaijan and the Philippines, under substandard medical supervision. Some of the donors are still suffering from medical complications.

FBI sting exposes organ-trafficking ring

...
Levy Izhak Rosenbaum, 58, of Brooklyn, N.Y., second from left, is taken into the back of the federal courthouse in Newark, N.J., on Thursday, arrested on corruption charges.

Levy Izhak Rosenbaum of Brooklyn called himself a "matchmaker," but his business wasn't romance. Instead, authorities say, he brokered the sale of black-market kidneys, buying organs from vulnerable people from Israel for $10,000 and selling them to desperate patients in the United States for as much as $160,000.

The alleged scheme, exposed last week by an FBI sting, rocked the nation's transplant industry. If true, it would be the first documented case of organ trafficking in the United States, transplant experts said Friday.

"I am what you call a matchmaker," Rosenbaum said in a secretly recorded conversation. "I bring a guy what I believe, he's suitable for your uncle." Asked how many organs he had brokered, he said "quite a lot," the most recent two weeks earlier.

As part of the scheme, which authorities say had gone on for a decade, the organ donors were brought from Israel to this country, where they underwent surgery to remove the kidneys, authorities said. Prosecutors did not identify which hospitals in the United States received the donors and their kidneys.

Rabbis who ran 'Soprano' syndicate are held by FBI

...

Dozens of New Jersey politicians, officials and prominent rabbis have been arrested in an FBI swoop on a Sopranos-style syndicate accused of bribery, corruption, money laundering and human organ trafficking.

Three city mayors, two state politicians and a grand rabbi were among the 44 suspects arrested in one of the biggest crackdowns on organised white-collar crime.

The 10-year investigation, Operation Bid Rig, uncovered corruption and an international multi-million-dollar money-laundering ring stretching from New York to Israel and run through charities operated by rabbis.

The complex web of corruption and back-handers led the informant to a separate money-laundering network run by rabbis who operated between Brooklyn, New Jersey, and Israel. They laundered around $3 million for the undercover witness between June 2007 and this month, according to investigators.

Allegedly involved are Saul Kassin, chief rabbi of a large Syrian Jewish synagogue in Brooklyn, and three other leading rabbis. The investigation also uncovered Levy Izhak Rosenbaum of Brooklyn, who is accused of conspiring to broker the sale of a human kidney for a transplant.

Mr Marra said: "His business was to entice vulnerable people to give up a kidney for $10,000 which he would turn around and sell for $160,000."

Islam, Judaism and Christianity are the enemies of the White European Race.

Any real Jew living in Australia should naturally want to go to their "holly land".

Any true Muslim or Arab should naturall want to go to Palestine or where ever and fight the non-believers.
