True asylum seekers/legitimate immigrants.

Okay, I know that the lefties on here like calling me a far-right wing bigot, but just hear me out here.

There are many, many genuine people who want to leave their own country, because they are in desperate need, and are seeing asylum, or they think that Australia will provide a better life for themselves. These people do the right thing, and patiently wait their turn to come here.

Yet, now, because of the incompetence of Rudd, Gillard and Labor in general, these people can't get in. The arrogance and stubborn pride of not accepting the highly successful Nauru option got in the way of good and strong border protection, and now illegal, non-genuine parasites are getting here, and taking precedence over legitimate refugees.

This is an absolute disgrace. An absolute disgrace.

The only problem is most boat people are found to be genuine refugees, so in fact your it is your assumption that is incorrect from the start.....Calling boat people illegal and denying they are genuine refugees does not alter the fact they are found to be just that in most cases. Genuine refugees that Australia accepts with welcome arms, providing they flew into Australia by QANTAS. The hypocricy of the right is astoundingly stupid!!!

Of course there are some, but there are alos others who bypassed Indonesia.

Where you came from after fleeing persecution does not matter. It is up to asylum seekers to ask for asylum when they reach a country that has signed the International Refugee Convention if possible. Otherwise countries that border war zones would be swamped with refugees (which is what happens). Seeking asylum is not a crime and is allowed under Australian law. Refugees did not make the laws so it is not there fault they take what options are available to them. If you do not liike the laws then lobby your local member of parliament to have them changed but do not blame asylum seekers for accepting Australia will do what we said we would do and help people seeking asylum!!!
