That stain was worth $US1.1 million!

We really need to have art educators who can explain to cleaners the difference between art and garbage - and when they are finished, perhaps they could teach the rest of us  Grin

When it gets to the stage that it's only recognisable as art by a few select individuals, is it really art?

Quote:
Works of art sometimes fall victim to zealous cleaners. In 1986, a "grease stain" by Joseph Beuys valued at around $US550,000 was mopped away at the Academy of Fine Arts in Duesseldorf in western Germany.
