I didn't think it was sour grapes. Who wouldn't have noticed over the years the abuse and insults some members are consistently subject to?

It would be better if some members were a little more polite in their responses and if some of the more decent members who have left had been encouraged to stay, but what makes a successful forum? A bit of everything?

Unfortunately it's impossible to meet the requirements of everyone, so maybe the administrators try and look at the whole of Ozpolitic objectively instead of worrying about the needs of individual members.

I'm only guessing this is the case.

No, Muso, you have not, at any stage. Quite the contrary, and you have earned my respect for that.

There are some, however, who give me nothing but.

Strangely (or not), most are the ones responsible for doing exactly the same thing on the Yahoo political boards.

They ended-up getting them closed-down (hence their arrival here en-masse around three or four years ago).

I never give a 'serve' to those who treat me likewise. The others get repaid in kind.

Although I do try to ignore them (no, it doesn't always work).

1. I was born in Melbourne - hence why I have an Aussie passport (I do not even own a RSA one).
2. I have zero intention of banning you or anyone else for anything remotely as trivial.

Personal political views and moderating to me are completely separate.

(I don't even know PN's personal political views, I know his economic ones and he and I do not agree though I respect his opinion because its an informed one).
