well she did rid the electorate of Howard.  That's enough in my books.

THAT, was the electorates ONLY focus, in 2007
Liberal blue ribbon Bennelong was DETERMINED to purge Howard from their lives at ANY cost

(... even if it required electing a Labor member, for a term)

Mission accomplished - the electorate returned to it's "natural state" in the following 2010 Federal Election

He's right up there with novelty cantidate and Liberal member ...

she was an embarrassment as an MP. her fabulous ideas included:

MINIMUM 50% representation for women in parliament
MANDATORY 30 mins exercise for all employess each day

she was a worthless twit who after despatching Howard on the basis of a nation-wide swing and nothing more was thrown out by way above the national swing because she was a useless local MP.

Locals complained howard was never there. But neither was Maxine McClueless. One of them however had an excuse. He was PM.

She got a 16% swing to herself in primary votes that election. Pretty sure that's more significant than simply saying it was because of a nation-wide swing.

but then she was slaughtered in a massive swing back which essentially was a personal condemnation of her performance as an MP. she was DREADFUL. and when you think of it, every single one of labors celebrity candidates has been the same.

Peter Garret
Nicole Cornes
Cheryl kernot

disasters.

Yah, she wasn't very good after 2007.  I'm simply pointing out the fact that she did very much fight an incredible battle in 2007.  You don't get a 16% swing for no reason.

she did a lot of Korean backslapping that stopped the day after the election didnt she need preferrences to get in though I seem to remember it took a few days of counting..or was that someone else?

who was Nicole Comes???... Cheryl was the juicy one wasnt she.. bet she could tell a few stories..she not only lost a seat but also a party...lol

Howard lost, not this weirdo winning. Howard was on the nose, mcClueless was nothing more than the other name on the ballot. 3 years later there was no Howard to hate and she had to stand on her own two political feet. look how that worked out.

cods, Cornes never held a seat IIRC, she was just a candidate for an SA (don't remember which) at the 2007 election. Maxy needed Green preferences to get in, Howard won on the primary vote.

Yes, the other name who also happened to gain a 16 point swing, 10 of that coming from the Greens.  That in itself shows she ran a very strong campaign in 2007.  Yes, she ended up being hopeless. But that doesn't take away from her triumph of removing Howard.

when even your supporters say you are hopeless it is obviously not good!

What do you have against JA and Roy?

Throw us up a list of their achievements and contributions over the last 15 months - and I'll get BACK to you

... and you think the former  Parliamentary Secretary for Infrastructure, Early Childhood Development, Transport, Regional Development and Local Government was "useless" ?

yes, she was useless. and her electorate confirmed it by way of apologising for dumping Howard by dumping McClueless.

She came, she said that which others were too chicken to say and, if anything, showed that a woman who ran a fish shop, had more business sense than anyone sitting on the red benches, those who, if not liars themselves, applaud their unprincipled leaders.

Problem was that Pauline hadn't the education to carry her further.
