We have to sort Iran out.

So far they have not dropped nuclear weapons that they don't have.

Just Like Iraq, they were hiding weapons of mass destruction that they didn't have.

They are surrounding Iran and they are surrounding China.

Who next? Iran.

After Iran?....anywhere!

Well yes, we do need to 'sort Iran out'.....Simply because if they DO ever get nuclear weapons (and there are some pretty strong indications that they're trying) the current regime would actually use them....

Which is quite different to the case of Iraq...

Who would they use them on?

Israel???  Puhleez.  If they dropped a nuke on israel, israel would drop 100 back, and all the nations in the world would carve up the carcass of Iran.

They're not that stupid.  They are not a threat.

President Imanutjob would do it.....he IS that stupid.....It's only the Islamic religious ruling party that's kept him on a leash so far...

what's the bet the Iranian protesters are CIA operatives dressed up in the  appropriate attire Wink
Nothing like a false flag operation to setup a pretext for war Wink

I always said that the next stop was going to be Iran and how convenient it is that Afghanistan is a neighbour of Iran. Ideal for a US military base Wink

There you have it. That is why they are still in Afghanistan Wink

Now you're starting to sound like Wharfy(it_is_the_light)....

So the invasion of Iraq was all about the Weapons of Mass Deception was it Cheesy LOL

No, it was about GW Bush wanting to finish what his daddy started....

Don't make the mistake of thinking the CIA 'needed' to incite the pro-government faction in Iran to attack westerns.....the Iranian president does that on a regular basis anyway....

That's why they need something out of left field. They can't possibly justify an invasion on something that people are complacent with !! The US bitching about nukula weapons in Iran is like the boy that cried wolf !!

Perhaps, but the death toll from the internal troubles is getting towards the point where SOMEONE needs to do something...

I don't think he's stupid.  All the 'zany outbursts' he's made have been pretty accurate.  His only 'crime' is not couching his remarks in politically correct doublespeak.  Well, maybe not his ONLY crime, but his reputation for being a nutjob is undoubtedly a fabrication by the big boys.

Don't be stupid. There are no winners with nukes !! The countries with nukes only use them as a deterrent.

Oh don't get me wrong. I'd love to see Assad go - handed over to the people would be lovely. Out of all the revolutions in the Middle East, this is the regime I would like to see fall most.

But it'll further isolate Iran.

Tell that to the Japanese, and to all those Americans who spent the middle of October 1962 sleeping in fallout shelters...

Or South Koreans who have watched several Taepong Dong missiles fired into the sea in 'exercises'.

Or how about to Israelis who during Gulf War I, when Israel was a neutral country, sawl Haifa and Tel Aviv targetted by missile fire.

Yeah, no danger at all eh?

You'll have to go back a lot further than that.

Quote:
When was the last time Iran started a war?

This can't be right (can it?), but the last time I can find for a truly aggressive Iran was the first half of the 18th Century, under the reign of Nadir Shah (1688-1747), who attacked everybody nearby, including Turkey, Oman, and Afghanistan. In 1739, he invaded India, sacked Delhi, and brought home Shah Jehan's Peacock Throne (whose gold and jewels were worth about $1 billion at today's commodity prices) and the Koh-i-Noor diamond (now a 186 carat gem in the Tower of London).

http://isteve.blogspot.com/2006/01/when-was-last-time-iran-started-war.html

haven't started a war fro 300 years.  So when was the last time say...The US started a war?  Oh...only a few months.   Sad

Which do you think would further isolate Iran, Ahmadinejad being ousted, or the US invading??

Or more isolate?
