Matthew Newton bashes old man.

Matthew Newton never picks on anyone bigger than him -
it's always a woman or or an old man.

I think he needs an attitude correction but he
always gets off in court claiming mental problems.
He certainly has no problem in identifying a weak target!

MATTHEW Newton doesn't need to go back to rehab. Matthew Newton needs a good hiding. A smack in the mouth.

No doubt this piece of outstanding commentary, said without fear or prejudice, will send the sob sisters into a flap this morning as they stand appalled at the sheer brutishness of it.

No, they will sob, Newton has an illness and he needs our support.

Heavens no, they'll weep, condemning him is the last thing we should be doing.

For goodness sake, they'll bleat, his behaviour is a result of his addictions.

Until we get to the doozy of all doozies: He can't help it.

But beating up a woman is not the action of an addict. It is a sign of poor character. The action of a weak man. A dog.

If Newton's alleged behaviour is beyond his control, as this reliance on an "addiction" seems to suggest, how come it never happens in a pub full of Botany Bay wharfies?

It seems that if you're a celebrity you can get off Scott free but if it was you or me we'd be locked up in a jail house full of bum bandits.

Wealthy and influential people always get lighter sentences. Money counts for a lot, especially if you can afford one of Sydney's top criminal barristers and better still - live with him.

Yes Mantra - it's not fair - footballers & celebrities always
seem to get an easier time when before the courts.
As I said - if it was you or me we'd get at least 2 years in
a jail full of bum bandits for what Newton did.

We always try to make things fairer and sometimes we succeed, but unfortunately money and power still win in the end.

You only have to look at the Court system today where in many cases the perpetrator of the crime becomes the innocent party. We can't be exactly sure of what goes on behind the scenes - but wealth certainly helps your case.
