I was a gift-pack "SPECIAL"
and came into being
under a Christmas-lit
pine---
                  addressed
to the household's minor
who hastily re-tagged me
to an aunt (on her way

over).
I lingered, ignored
until the next back-fence exchange
with a neighbour

who didn't bathe in salts
either so put me aside
for another
yuletide--

But time spent wisely is time
unconfined - allow me to present
my closet-hatched
rhyme.
