As a Pharmaceutical company, we received back 33c for every $1 in legitimate R&D that we spent in Australia on products that would be sold and marketed in Australia.

It was called the P3 Government R&D Assistance Program and was run by the Department of Innovation and Technology.

We received back over $77m over the life of our application in direct cash payments from the Australian Government.

It was audited and could not include R&D outside of Australia or for products marketed and sold outside of Australia.

AusIndustry grants and loans PLUS state government version fo the same thing. If you were actually in R&D you'd already know this.

You're behind the times mate. They have nobble the ausindustry grants so that they only apply to 'green' technologies. And have you ever tried to apply for an ausindustry grant ?? Obviously not !! You have more chance of winning the lottery Sad

You can get a stingy 125% R&D tax concession but then you have to employ an accountant to work it all out for you and so you end up losing money on the accountants fees. My accountant said it wasn't really worth it and was a gimmick Sad
