The elderly Aussie said to the woman in the next seat,
"You must be hot in all them clothes, love. . ."
The burqa-clad women replied, "You be wearing them in ten year's time."
So, it's not their complexions, nor their beliefs - the put-off is their attitude.
Very nice of the lady in the Burka to wish the elderly lady a decade of longevity and the opportunity to vary her dress style.
Well, that's a novel way of looking at the situation but I suppose, anyone sweating in a burqa on a summer's day has an excuse for snapping a reply.
Makes me remember another incident that was related to me by an in-law.
It was on some park during an argument over a picnic spot.
This time it was a Vietnamese woman who said, "You wait, we will soon take over from your Aussies."
As I wasn't present, I can't swear that this had happened.
By the way, literate people allude to characters as "woman" or "man" unless these have somehow earned the title of "lady" or "gentleman".
Very low-class and irritating!
