Whitney Houston Dies

Whitney Houston 1963 - 2012 RIP

...

Quote:
Whitney Houston, superstar of records, films, dies

LOS ANGELES (AP) – Whitney Houston, who reigned as pop music's queen until her majestic voice and regal image were ravaged by drug use, has died. She was 48.

Publicist Kristen Foster said Saturday that the singer had died, but the cause and the location of her death were unclear.
At her peak in the 1980s and '90s, Houston the golden girl of the music industry and one of the world's best-selling artists.
Among her hits were "How Will I Know," "Saving All My Love for You" and "I Will Always Love You." She won multiple Grammys including album and record of the year.
Her success carried her beyond music to movies like "The Bodyguard."
But by the end of her career, drug use took its toll as her record sales plummeted and her voice became raspy and hoarse.

Very sad news indeed.....A woman who has lead an extraordinary life!!!

Poor thing - she was too young to die.

Her voice was great when she was much younger.

Commit yourself to your dream and pursue it - I have achieved my dream - for me that was the raising of myself above all Government, ideologies and constitutions and embracing myself as the only supreme authority over my conscience.  Whitney Houston was a great voice and I also enjoyed her movie the Body guard, she was also my contemporary.  Its not the length of time here that counts, its the integrity of soul.   Cool

It matters not how long she lived only that she lived it well. 100 years of boring is pain beyond imagination, 48 years of burning bright my be just what she was happy with.

That lady at her top, had one of the most beatiful, pure voices you coluld ever hear.

Dear Meat (head) do yourself a small favour and play some of her music, then you might appreciate what the rest of us are talking about.

If you want safe, just keep worshipping your Government, believing everything they tell you and obeying everything they say - sleep now.  But some of us want to live life on our terms, live our own lives, make our own mistakes. Cool

I loved her music and always thought of her as a spunk, but sadly, I don't agree with the idea of her 'living life to the fullest' or 'shining bright' for a flicker of a moment ...when all that self destruction just ruins such a moment. She will be remembered as an awarded Singer and a Drug Addict.
Real 'Great' Singers keep on being great.

The Music Industry has a Drug problem.
The Religious Industry has a Gun problem.

Farewell Whitney - I wonder what scared you?

...bet ya Bobby Brown gets popped off soon Wink

Non thinkers have a Government problem, always want to be safe, never take risks, control every bodies behavior and make the world just "perfect" in their own image.  The trouble is their image is not perfect except in their own mind and that is where it should stay and they should not seek to Govern other peoples lives or tell them how to live it.  None of the do gooders will ever live in a thousand lifetimes what Ms Houston lived in 48 - they know it, it challenges their delusions of grandeur, holiness and perfection, it eats them up their sterile world is a joke. The entertainment industry has a drug problem.  Sorry but I have no sympathy for them.
