Woman 'set alight' in luxury riverside unit - suffers 30 per cent burns
A 25-YEAR-OLD woman has suffered serious burns after allegedly being set alight in a horrifying attack inside a Rivervale apartment in Western Australia yesterday.
The woman was taken to Royal Perth Hospital yesterday morning, where she is being treated for severe burns to her face and upper torso covering 30 per cent of her body.
A neighbour who helped her into the shower told police she was "smouldering" as she screamed for help.
The attack is alleged to have taken place at the luxury Ceresa River Apartments, overlooking the Swan River.
Detective Senior Sergeant Chris Adams, from Kensington Detectives, said the woman had suffered "horrendous" injuries and called on anyone with information to come forward...
..."It appears her upper body and torso was set alight. We'll be looking into potential types of accelerants that may have been used.
"This seems to be a pre-meditated approach, as far as identifying who this person is.
"We have a number of witnesses that heard a disturbance in the morning that suggested something obviously wasn't right."
Ms Vulin's Facebook profile says she has 435 friends, is single and interested in men.
It's the third time a woman has been set alight in Perth in the past few months.
