Will Labor now recognise Palestine's right to a seat at the UN.

Also, if supporting Palestine, will Labor back the BDS

The Palestinian authorities refuse to sign and implement the United Nations universal declaration of human rights because human rights violate Islamic law.

I think a condition of entry to the UN should also include that country ratifying human rights with the UN standards not something from a dusty old book from the dark ages.

Palestine wants a seat on the UN yet they cannot accept the United nations version of human rights, that is the people the greens support.

Greenie loser you said the greens want to protect Islam which is a fascist totalitarian style of governing with no respect for human rights as we know them.
Islam is a political ideology and you want to protect an ideology that kills people for apostasy, blasphemy, homosexuality,it stones people to death for adultery,is that the ideology the greens are so eager to embrace and protect?

A thread on Islam vs The Universal declaration of human rights here-

If we boycott Israel does that mean no more precision weapons for our FA18 as the optical technology in those weapons is from Israel.

The Saudis are far more oppressive than the Israelis look at how Hamza Kashgari is being persecuted for thoughts he put on twitter.

The Greens are a joke

Leftists and the Ayatollahs have a lot in common when it comes to criticism of Islam, they don't tolerate it.

Israel and the United States.

How?

By having an independent thought?

By our government representing Australia

Perhaps If Australia has an independent though, Britain may follow.

P*ss them off? I'd say it's pretty hard to be p*ssed off when EVERY country in the world supports Palestine except Israel, the US, Australia and, I think, Kazakstan and the Marshal Islands.

There you go, all fixed.  Wink

The UN is currently our main system for world governing.

On one hand people hate the UN, and on the other they oppose forming a democratic one world government.

Well people, it's one or the other, or the third option : Anarchy.

Time to decide.

SO.

One world government is just a pile of horse crap that will never happen and never work.

Yet we have to decide

The UN or a Democratic One World Government.

Then work through that system to gain the best outcomes.

Why?

How about neither. Wink

Good point. And while we're at it, lets do away with the internet, foreign trade, the telegraph, all transnational communication, regional decision-making bodies and trading blocks, multinational corporations, currency speculation, foreign investment, people smuggling and cheap airfares.

That should fix it.

How do you think we should operate if you disagree with the UN

Start from the ground up and build a one world democratic government?

I see. You think some countries should be left out of global decision-making. Do you base this on their puppet governments, Friyay, or their attractiveness as tourist destinations?

I might have left someone out. I think the foreign office in Burundi are currently debating their position.

The representative of Australia expressed strong support for Palestine’s sovereignty, saying his country was taking practical steps, including donating $300 million over the next five years.  Australia had changed its negative vote to an abstention, instead of supporting the text, because it did not recognize Israel’s legitimate security needs.  Australia was committed to the peace process and to a negotiated two-State solution, he said, urging the two sides to return to direct talks as a matter of urgency.

Seems like reasonable support. Undecided
