I agree that we stole the land also and I am greatly sad for what my people did.
However given how new a state Israel is there may still be time to reverse such actions which would be almost impossible for Australian immigrants now.

The League of Nations recognised Britain to administer the British Mandate of Palestine in accordance with the plan set forward by Lord Balfour.
Britain never ever intended staying, only to kick the Ottomans out and in fact had an integral part of the Balfour Declaration of 1917 which divided the Mandate into two parts which included a Jewish homeland.
This Declaration was also a part of the peace plan with Turkey which they agreed to.
One part of the Declaration being the establishment ofTrans Jordan, the other which is now Israel.
Note that the Israel at detailed in the Balfour Declaration included the Gaza Strip and the West Bank.
