And was then invaded the following day by the Arab League.
This is how it happened.
England was occupying the land which didn’t make it there’s so they couldn’t have given it to them, they said they could take it.
Which they did by brutal force. How and why do you not expect the people from who the land was stolen from not to care and/or defend themselves against the oppression and slaughter that continues to this day?
And the Turks were 'occupying' the land for hundreds of years before that, and the Romans before that, and the Egyptians before that, and the Greeks before that, and the Hittites before that, the Phoenicians, Persians and Alexander the Great as well.
Your point actually being???
The League of Nations recognised Britain to administer the British Mandate of Palestine in accordance with the plan set forward by Lord Balfour.
Britain never ever intended staying, only to kick the Ottomans out and in fact had an integral part of the Balfour Declaration of 1917 which divided the Mandate into two parts which included a Jewish homeland.
This Declaration was also a part of the peace plan with Turkey which they agreed to.
One part of the Declaration being the establishment ofTrans Jordan, the other which is now Israel.
Note that the Israel at detailed in the Balfour Declaration included the Gaza Strip and the West Bank.
