lol @ Andrei's reaction to this thread, so clueless

I actually own and have read the book, including a lot of the critical responses to it including Abe Foxman's lame-o hysterical screeching reaction and Mearshimer and Walt's privately distributed followup. It's a very good book though the authors bend over backwards at times to demonstrate how non "anti-semitic" they are which becomes tiresome fast. The take home message is pretty profound and more or less unscathed by the mountainload of criticisms (from the usual suspects) the book has received, though would be completely over the heads of the moralising philosemite and to a lesser extent the philopalestinian crowd.

Well it was worth the time just to elicit that response. Respect.

The way I see it it's just an interesting document for future historians. The rot may have started in the ME but the whole apples gone rotten now.

Last year, Israeli soldiers intervened and arrested several Jewish settlers for firing into the Palestinian occupied territory. Let's try and paint a reasonably fair picture of events please.
