I have read this article and came away with thinking, "the Jews are smart, think ahead and are well-resourced."

I also though, what would an Arab lobby actually lobby for? If you think that through, you realise that an Arab lobby would be completely unpalatable, because it woul be agitating for the annihilation of a UN member state, and that is still beyond the pale.

SO the effectiveness of the Israel lobby is due, to a very great extent, to the stark, simple and unavoidable truth that the Muslim Arab side's goals are unacceptable. No-one would want to be seen being lobbied by interests that want to destroy a sovereign country. The Muslims are buggered again, as always, because they want the nothing short of the unacceptable.

There are very few international disputes where one side of the lobbying contest (in this case the Arabs) give the field over completely to their opponents (here, the Jews). This is the case here because only one side (the Jews) has an acceptable goal (the defence of a UN member state).

No wonder the Jewish lobby is effective.

What was that peace plan again?
"The proposal offers Israel peace and normal ties if it withdraws from all land seized in the 1967 war, allows the creation of a Palestinian state and the return of Palestinian refugees.
...

According to the United Nations, there are now more than four million Palestinian refugees, living mostly in the Palestinian territories, Jordan, Lebanon, Syria and Libya.

(Falah's article)

Israel' population is about 8 million, of which 25% is not jewish. With a right of return (effectively political voice even if they do not physically return), Israel's political system would be given over to the Palestinians and whoever manipulates them.

This was a peace offer no Israeli government could ever accept.

That is why the ARabs made it - to be able to parade the headline, as Falah has one just now, but knowing that it is a 'peace' offer that nobody could ever accept - ie no 'peace' offer at all.

Indeed.

And I can't say I am looking forward to the Arab Spring finally arriving in Jordan.

You will see Arabs taking refuge in Israel.

Jordan has deliberate keep refugees in big camps for the world opinion.
You see also they prefer this to show how bad Israel is but in real time they has never done anything to help Palestinians.

So basically the people who are forcing the Palestinians from their own land by force are complaining off the way they are treated when they flee to another country to avoid death.

Weiss: Zionism has created 'rivers of blood'

Rabbi Yisrael Dovid Weiss explains why he believes that Israel as a state is not legitimate.

...

When Binyamin Netanyahu, Israel’s prime minister, visited Washington last week on the eve of the Purim holiday, he gave Barack Obama, the US president, what he considered a symbolic gift - a copy of the old testament book of Esther.

Netanyahu called it "background reading on Iran", since its story concerns relations with Jews in the Persian empire some 2,500 years ago.

It is considered by scholars to be mostly fiction, but for Netanyahu Esther represented justification for his stance against modern Iran.

”Israel must reserve the right to defend itself. And after all that’s the very purpose of the Jewish state. To restore to the Jewish people control over our destiny,” Netanyahu said.

But Netanyahu’s controversial reading of history, even his fight to preserve the state of Israel, are questioned by many of Judaism’s own religious authorities.

"This is against the will of the Almighty and this is not what it means to be a Jew," says Jewish religious scholar Rabbi Yisroel Dovid Weiss, a spokesman for "Jews against Zionism", who believes that Israel as a state is not legitimate. He says that Zionism has created "rivers of blood" and he opposes the occupation of Palestine.

On the threat from Iran and President Ahmadinejad he says: "He gives charity to Jewish communities and he says one thing: he has a problem with the oppression of the Palestinian people. And the words "wipe out" he constantly says that Iran doesn't have a history and he is not talking about harming anybody he says that God will not allow this crime to happen. We concur with him that Jews are in danger because there is Zionism because it says in the Tora if you rebel against God, it will not be successful and there will be catastrophic results and Zionism has brought catastrophic results and it could be much worse."

Today on Talk to Al Jazeera Weiss explains why Zionism and Judaism are not necessarily the same thing.

In fact the people most likely to kill him are in fact the Israelis now.

Why are people defending themselves labelled terrorists and the people starting these conflicts peace keepers?

You would do exactly the same if you were in the Palestinians position.

Hamas has broken every cease fire ever made, not Israel.
Hamas does not recognise Israel's existence and is sworn to it's destruction.
This is well documented.
They even tell there children via Palestinian TV to hate jews.
Don't give me that Israel are the terrorists and the Muslim extremist groups want peace.
Israel left Gaza in 2005 under a ceasefire followed by a hail of missile and mortar fire.
You need to wake up.
This is about killing Jews and nothing more.
Israel responds to the daily missile attacks launched from Gaza fired by Muslim extremist groups, as so they should respond to that.
If Hamas stopped firing, Israel would not have to respond.
The fact these wacky priests walk Israel's streets clearly shows they are under no domestic threat.
As to the 'Palestinians', they never cared about "Palestinians land' when the Jordanians had the West Bank, and Egypt had Gaza.
They only care now.
Why.
Because of the Jews.

Please ceasefires are a joke, if Israel wanted to stop this they would give back the land they stole. Why should Hamas stop fighting the war they were forced into?
Why should they recognise their existence? So it’s ok for Israel to destroy Palestine but bad for the opposite?
What’s the difference?

I can understand why they are told to hate jews, the jews have committed genocide on their people and stole their nation from them and kill innocent civilians. Is this something they should like?
