While human saliva contains some antibacterial compounds it is by no means an antibacterial cleanser. Probably due to tolerant microbes living in the mouth.

At best this is a poor method of washing the wound. The focus is probably the blood which they consider religiously significant. As seen in kosher meat preparation etc.

Urine was used on battlefields to cleanse wounds ... it's where the expression "I wouldn't piss on him", to indicate disgust originated ...

ie. I wouldn't piss on you if you were on fire.

Bacterial population in the human mouth can lead to gingivitis, periodontitis and tooth decay. God only knows what it can cause to a cut foreskin.

A dogs mouth is fairly bad for germs they dont brush their teeth or floss not to mention the odd bit off asslicking which could carry e coli bacteria.
Have you seen some of the things that dogs lick, i would not let a dog anywhere near a wound.
