" I don't want them here, but we have no business in their country."

Nice if you can compartmentalise a body like that. 'Fortunately the cancer is only in left kidney, so we can leave it. Left kidney will die but you got another so no worries.'

But bodies don't work like that.

Imperium did you modify to make nonsense of my post? Smiley This is what the preceding post had in it folks.

US forces raped two women in Kandahar carnage

...
On March 11, a group of US soldiers went from house to house in three villages in Kandahar’s Panjwaii district and killed at least 16 people, mostly women and children.

The Afghan parliamentary mission investigating the recent massacre of 16 civilians by US forces in Afghanistan says two women were raped during the deadly incident, Press TV reports.

Two members of the fact-finding mission, Hamidzi Lali and Shakiba Hashemi, told the general meeting of Afghanistan’s parliament on Saturday that the American troopers raped two Afghan women before starting the massacre.

They said between 15 to 20 US soldiers were involved in the carnage.

This is while Washington claims that the 38-year-old Army Staff Sergeant Robert Bales, who has just arrived in the US, was the only American military personnel responsible for the massacre.

Earlier on Friday, Afghanistan’s President Hamid Karzai criticized the United States for not cooperating with the Afghan fact-finding team and said the killing of civilians by foreign forces in Afghanistan “has been going on for too long.”

On March 11, a group of US soldiers went from house to house in three villages in Kandahar’s Panjwaii district and gunned down Afghan civilians inside their homes, killing at least 16 people -- mostly women and children -- and injuring several others.

Karzai has asked how one soldier could enter three homes, kill the occupants and drag the bodies into one house and set them on fire.

Of course there are eye witnesses who say there was more than one soldier......duh!

I ask the same question.

Is this one soldier taking the fall for his compatriots and why? Maybe he's the patsy. Maybe we need Wikileaks to extract the truth.

Kandahar massacre revenge for attack on US troops: Afghan report

...
Staff Sgt. Robert Bales (L), one of the soldiers accused of involvement in the recent massacre of Afghan civilians, at the National Training Center in Fort Irwin, California, August 23, 2011

An Afghan parliamentary investigation team says the massacre of at least 16 civilians by American soldiers in Kandahar province was planned in retaliation for an earlier attack on US forces.

The head of the Afghan parliamentary investigation, Sayed Ishaq Gillani, said the locals suspect that the slaughter of the Afghan civilians was carried out in revenge for an attack which destroyed an American tank last week.

Earlier on Monday, the Afghan tribal leaders of Kandahar province also said that the carnage was in retaliation against the bomb attack on the US tank in the Zangabad region in Panjwaii district in the province of Kandahar.

Following the blast, the American forces summoned local Afghans and tribal leaders of the region and vowed a bloody revenge on their children and wives, the Kandahar tribal leaders added.

The new findings came in the wake of an earlier report by the team, which suggested that the American troopers also raped two female victims of the massacre before killing them.

The investigation mission also implicated up to 20 US soldiers in the carnage. “We are convinced that one soldier cannot kill so many people in two villages within one hour at the same time, and the 16 civilians, most of them children and women, have been killed by the two groups,” investigator Hamizai Lali said.

Sergeant Robert Bales, one of the soldiers accused of involvement in the massacre of Afghan civilians, was flown from a temporary military prison in Kuwait to a maximum security cell in Fort Leavenworth in the US state of Kansas. The transfer of the US soldier outraged the Afghan people, who demanded the public trial of the perpetrators of the heinous act in their country.

Earlier on Friday, Afghanistan’s President Hamid Karzai criticized the United States for not cooperating with the Afghan fact-finding team and said the killing of the civilians by foreign forces in Afghanistan “has been going on for too long.”

On March 11, a group of US soldiers went from house to house in Kandahar’s Panjwaii district and gunned down Afghan civilians inside their homes, killing at least 16 people, mostly women and children, and injuring several others.

WHo would have thought that teaching men to become mindless killers would have dangerous results?

WHen the chickens come home to roost:

Soldiers bring death home

LAST Tuesday in Orange County, California, Abel Gutierrez shot the 11-year-old sister he had helped to raise, Luna Lucero, and then himself. His mother, Martha, has not been seen since, and few seem to believe she is alive.

Today a court in Pennsylvania will hear the opening arguments in the trial of Nicholas Horner, accused of shooting two men dead while robbing a Subway outlet three years ago.

Last month in Orange County, California, Itzcoatl Ocampo was indicted for the serial killings of six people.

...
Ben Barnes, who froze to death trying to elude capture after allegedly killing a woman park ranger

In January Benjamin Barnes froze to death on the side of a mountain in Seattle as he evaded a SWAT team pursuing him for the murder of Margaret Anderson, a National Parks ranger and mother of two girls.

And in Kansas Staff Sergeant Robert Bales sits in solitary in the military prison Fort Leavenworth waiting to be formally charged with the murder of 16 civilians in Afghanistan.

America's recent wars are the bloody thread that binds these men. Gutierrez served two tours in Iraq, Horner served three. Ocampo was discharged dishonourably from the Marines in 2010 after his tour in Iraq.

Barnes had been stationed at Joint Base Lewis-McChord before he was discharged after his Iraq tour. The base was home to Bales, who served three terms in Iraq before he was sent to Afghanistan. (Joint Base Lewis-McChord prepares soldiers for combat and had 12 suicides in 2011.)

...post-traumatic stress disorder, (is) thought to affect up to 20 per cent of veterans...Research shows prolonged exposure to combat increases the incidence and severity of post-traumatic stress disorder. America's decade-long engagement in Afghanistan is now the longest of its history.

A Department of Veterans Affairs spokeswoman said yesterday that as a result of the drawdown of troops in Afghanistan it was preparing for 93,000 returning troops to become eligible for its aid this year alone.

Further, 223,609 troops that had approached the department for help between 2002 and late last year are thought to suffer from post-traumatic stress disorder, she said.

The sea of scarred returning soldiers has prompted psychiatrists to reconsider their understanding of combat stress.

A working group of the American Psychiatric Association is expanding the association's diagnosis manual to include feelings of persistent and recurring guilt or shame.

"We've seen . . . thousands of young men and women coming home terribly impaired emotionally by the war, and it certainly has gotten us thinking about what the consequences are [of combat]," David Spiegel, a member of the working group, told USA Today.

Michael Waddington, a lawyer for service members accused of violent crimes, told The Washington Post the Pentagon lacked the resources to adequately screen and treat troops suffering from serious anxieties and stress...

This week lawyers for Bales, 38, will meet with him. A statement released by the team, which includes John Henry Browne, who defended serial killer Ted Bundy, said they would meet the soldier throughout the week. "Public reports that Sergeant Bales' supervisors, family and friends describe him as a level-headed, experienced soldier are consistent with information gathered by the defence team," it said.

"Sergeant Bales' family is stunned in the face of this tragedy, but they stand behind the man they know as a devoted husband, father and dedicated member of the armed services."...

Crazed British soldier charged over honour killing:

Soldier charged with murder of mum Leanne, 24

...

...

A SOLDIER has been charged with murdering his girlfriend after someone changed her Facebook status to "sleeping around".

Ian Lowe, 25, of the 1st Battalion the Duke of Lancaster's Regiment, is accused of killing 24-year-old Leanne McNuff.

He appeared before Tameside Magistrates' Court for a brief hearing today and spoke only to confirm his name and address.

Call-centre worker Leanne was repeatedly knifed at her semi in Droylsden, Manchester, in front of the couple's four-year-old son Jaden.

Her best friend Emma Barlow, 26, said: "I spoke to her 50 minutes before she was killed and someone had changed her Facebook status.

"Leanne was upset because it was saying things about her sleeping around. It was all untrue."...

Margaret and Leanne's dad James yesterday paid tribute to their "beautiful, kind-hearted and generous" daughter.

They said: "Leanne had a great sense of humour and was loved by everyone who knew her."

Lowe belongs to the same regiment that lost a sergeant in a blast which killed six soldiers in Afghanistan last week.

Chief Crown Prosecutor for the North West Nazir Afzal said: "I have today advised Greater Manchester Police to charge Ian Lowe, 25, with the murder of Leanne McNuff, 24, at her home in Droylsden, Greater Manchester on March 11."...

Gold Coast man has been charged with the rape, torture and murder of a baby boy.

Child protection police have also charged the 32-year-old Pacific Pines man with grievous bodily harm of the baby in Townsville.

The 15-month-old boy died in suspicious circumstances after suffering multiple injuries at his home on April 16, 2011 and being taken to Townsville Hospital by paramedics.

The man charged is the former partner of the baby's mother.

A Queensland Police spokesman told the Courier Mail the case had been the subject of an ongoing police investigation.

"We had intensive investigations to undertake and we didn't make an arrest until such time as that had been finalised," he said.

The man will appear in Southport Magistrates Court on Monday.

so what do we attribute this monstrous act too?

The same thing occurred to me. If a foreigner committed a crime in America he would be tried in America, so why isn't this soldier being tried in Afghanistan?

It reaks of colonialism to me.

No this is military.
American process is same as Israeli. When Israeli soldier commits crime it is in Israeli and military court that he must answer.
This is not civilian offense.

If is American person not military then he try in Afghanistan civil and laws.
