I believe that. Viciousness isn't exactly a male-only trait, and when the tool of your trade is the gun, the extra power in a mans trigger finger doesn't make any difference. Viking shielas used to go out-a-raiding with their men too. Hard bitches, but if you were going to meet up with an angry viking, you'd prefer it was a female.

But I think the idea of fighting groups of women was a bit repugnant to a lot of the soldiers. Initially, at least - by all accounts they got over any moral qualms about it pretty quickly.

Huh no such luck. They pull you over for somjethig trivial, like riding a bicycle without a helmet. The suggest you could 'work it off'. If you wont come across, they up the charge to, 'resisting a police officer in the course of her duty' and 'failing to render assistance'.

In Celtic times Boedicca was not an isolated incident. Many burial sites have been found in Europe of chiefs who were women. Maori women too were often active warriors.
