His probably letting his lawyers deal with it..like a normal person would.

In that case, he needs new lawyers as they are letting his name get dragged through the mud for too long.

Only an idiot ignores their lawyers advice ..they are probably more concerned with getting their client off the hook than appeasing the hysterical Liberal Party.

strange havent seen any hysteria from the Lib Party at all..

is that just wishful thinking... or are you so protective of THOMO you will die if he is found guilty?.. I know I know..if hes guilty then throw the book at him... ho hum..

wonder whos paying his lawyers fees... the ALP..
hummmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

You haven't seen any? maybe you need to turn on the tv or read a paper every now and then... the libs have been on a witch hunt from day one with this one .... there are a thousand cases of fraud investigated every year, why do they not show the same 'concern' for any of the other cases?

show us an instance will ya... btw ... how MP do you know of that are investigated for fraud?????????????????????????????...

as far as I know THOMO is an MP and is therefore being paid by myself... so I am entitled to have answers...

The ALLEGED fraud took place long before he was an MP .... leave the politics out of it and let justice take it's course ... why the incessant need to interfere in a process that works pretty well most of the time if not for anything other than political advantage ....

I think Thomson is used to people covering for him and he is hoping that any evidence will somehow disappear thanks to his invisible buddies.

3 police investigations with no charges and this requested interview looks like a fishing expedition.

I wonder how any politician would do under this type of scrutiny.

Wonder if Mr Abbnotts funding of the crusade against Pauline Hanson would go if investigated, where did that money come from - was it corrupt use of Liberal party funds? Who paid and was it legit or corrupt as well as dishonest and disgraceful.

Neo cons dont believe that a person is innocent unless proven guilty and that everyone has the right to be represented by an experienced lawyer?
They wouldn't give a toss about Thomson or the union members if the govt had a large majority...its all about Abbotts birthright.

If he wasn't a politician and the police had found no charges to answer 3 times that would have been well past the end of the matter.

The liberals pushing for never ending investigations is the reason it has taken 3.5 years. At least 3 investigations have been completed in that time.

This is about political gain - not justice.

As I said.........lefty scum defending lefty scum.

Of course he is innocent DNA. Julia didn't lie, Milton didn't sexually abuse young boys and give them drugs and all the ALP pedos in gaol are innocent.

You really are a brainwashed DOPE.

I have never said that and do not know the answer but do you really think it is typical for multiple police investigations all finding the same result to just continue indefinatly.

I suspect that you are reasonably intelligent BA and have no idea why you try so hard to hide it.

I understand why Thomson is refusing to be interviewed and it is perhaps good legal advice. But ultimately it does tend to suggest that he is attempting to avoid self-incrimination - which is his right. His lawyers are trying to keep him out of jail, which is their job. But you have to admit, it looks bad.

Ultimately though he WILL have to talk with the police even if they have to arrest him to do so. AS the mass of evidence piles up against him it wil end up being better to go willingly rather than in handcuffs.

He is still going to jail tho. He is just trying to stave off the inevitable.

nobody is eeking to overturn presumption of innocence. But that is a COURT presumption, not a presumption of the people (worst luck). But even with this 'presumption of innocence' people are taken to court with zero doubt on anyones behalf of their guilt.

he deserves due process but so do we. And so far we are seeing due process being stalled, held up  and diverted. Thomson has a right to his day in court. We have a right to expect it.

DDNA the police havent been investigating this for 3.5.years only FAIRWORK... the police were only involved last year.. then it was dropped then picked up again..

as fairwork has found 80 odd things that are veryu serious and nerd answers... lets not forget the 1100 pages...... if there is nothing wrong..

I ask you??.. why 3.5 years and why 1100 pages

later.. another mix up so it now goes back and forth..Fairwork not co operating with the police and now THOMO isnt cooperating..

it sort of comes across as one giant cover up..to stretch this out as long as possible..

I dare anyone to say they wouldnt think differently if the boot was on the other foot..

we cant call him guilty... so stop twisting things..

nothing about this whole saga has been open and above board.thats all I am saying.

Did I say Fisher should be jailed?
Nope.. I said she is not mentally fit to be in parliament and I doubt anyone can dispute that.
