Why shouldn't the countries that recognise Israel as a legitimate member of the UN also support it in its endeavour of self-defence - because that's all what the arab-israeli conflict is.

Because we are trying to live in a civilized world and when you steal something from someone it is not self defence when they try and take it back and or defend their property and sovereignty, its assault. Or in this situation, war crimes and crimes against humanity.

The British gave the place to the Jews. It was for the British to give or not. Remember, it was under British control between the end of the Ottoman Empire and the declartion of Israel.
The non-Muslim countries of the world recognised Israel (ie the countries for whom the existence of a Jewish state is not a repudition of their deepst beliefs) and aceptd it as a member of the UN. Attacks on a UN member state are againt all international convention. So when israel hoots bck, it is in self defence by a recognised, sovereign member state of the UN.
Hamas and Fatah are not sovereign states, they are gangsters without a country. They are shooting at Israel because building a functioning country for thmselves is a much, much harder task. Shooting rockets from schools and mosques is a lot easier for them than to set up a functioning society, the millions of dollars in European aid notwithstanding.

The Muslim Arabs can't make a functioning society even when the DO have a country.

Why don't these heroic Muslims make themsleves a uniform, get their kalashnikovs and fight the IDF like soldiers? Because they would have no chance. So they are using guerilla tactics. Which means that THEY consider the non-combatant Palestinian causalties aceptable. If thyese cowards came out into the open, they would be al killed and nobody would cry for them. So, insead, they hide behind their own women and children and use their deaths and injuries for propaganda.

It is a bit like saying why were the Jews hiding in ghettoes behind women and children? Why didn't they come out and fight the Nazis in the open?

If they had any weapons they might just do that.

Nazis wore uniforms. Soviets wore uniforms. Didn't make them very good though.

I bet you hate Robin hood too Soren. he used to travel around in disguise fighting the evil uniform-wearing heavily-armed oppressive government.

I hate to say this but israel and the jews in israel remind me of the nazis and hitlers regime. They cry out about "holocaust" all the time to justify doing exactly the same thing. How many palestinians in the jails in israel? hmmm?

And dont go invoking that godwins law thing on me either this is a VALID reference.
