When are you ever going to learn to behave in a matter which is acceptable to others?

To actually debate a point without referring to foul anti-semitism which is offensive to anybody Jewish who would read this site?

Do you have to be banned about 1,000 times before you adjust your behaviour?

Ok so he is a terrorist, of jewish origin.
Happy?

Aside from the fact he is not a terrorist...

He is a guy who from what I can see, served in the army.
Like 98% of his countrymen.

Well he is a terrorist by the dictionary definition.
By your logic the nazis actions were appropriate because they were in an army like most of their countrymen?

Strange because I must be missing some of these posts of his.
The ones I have read he stated he tries to act even handedly to both sides and has a track record of warning and arresting Jewish settlers on the West Bank??

Not sure which thread but I have read that from him.

He seems a pretty moderate Israeli from what I can see.
Bear in mind that in that highly sensitive region, his level of acceptance would be different to ours.

Meanwhile PP has called all Jews scum, racially abused Avram (which to his credit he ignores), stated Israelis should be shot and cheered nail bombers on buses.

Go figure.

Words are words, actions are actions.
Avram has killed innocent people and/or assisted in.
Israel has killed thousands of innocent people and been committing genocide and apartheid oppression for decades.

A moderate israeli is still a terrorist.

I would say feel free to complain about something after you have proactively tried to deal with it.

Heh. It was sarcasm because his big post was of jokes but it had the same effect on this stupid laptop as the other pictures.

Nope. But I havent seen you defending others either. And there is a lot to defend in this forum if you are going to defend a group or person.

Are all jews terrorists? Are all muslims terrorists? Are all americans terrorists? Are all palestinains terrorists? Are all extremists terrorists? Are all arabs terrorists? Are all xtians terrorists?

Are all killers of ppl in the name of religion terrorists?

Dictionary definitions of words like terrorist are not very useful.

The United Nations General Assembly has been negotiating a Comprehensive Convention on International Terrorism. The definition of the crime of terrorism, which has been on the negotiating table since 2002 reads as follows:

Quote:
"1. Any person commits an offence within the meaning of this Convention if that person, by any means, unlawfully and intentionally, causes:

        (a) Death or serious bodily injury to any person; or
        (b) Serious damage to public or private property, including a place of public use, a State or government facility, a public transportation system, an infrastructure facility or the environment; or
        (c) Damage to property, places, facilities, or systems referred to in paragraph 1 (b) of this article, resulting or likely to result in major economic loss, when the purpose of the conduct, by its nature or context, is to intimidate a population, or to compel a Government or an international organization to do or abstain from doing any act."

Of course, that's a draft which nobody has yet agreed to. It's one of these words that are difficult to pin down (like Religion).

Let's say a kid intentionally kicks a ball in a public schoolyard and breaks a window at the school. That would be terrorism according to that definition. The window is public property, and it was definitely seriously damaged.

Everybody has their own idea of what terrorism is, but there is no universally accepted definition.

Quote:
In Australia, what constitutes an act of terrorism is defined in Commonwealth legislation. The Criminal Code Act 1995 states that a terrorist act means an action or threat of action where the action causes certain defined forms of harm or interference and the action is done or the threat is made with the intention of advancing a political, religious or ideological cause. Further, the Act states that 'the action is done or the threat is made with the intention of:

i. coercing, or influencing by intimidation, the government of the Commonwealth or a State, Territory or foreign country, or part of a State, Territory or foreign country; or

ii. intimidating the public or a section of the public;

and where the action

(a) causes serious harm that is physical harm to a person; or

(b) causes serious damage to property; or

(c) causes a person's death; or

(d) endangers a person's life, other than the life of the person taking the action; or

(e) creates a serious risk to the health or safety of the public or a section of the public; or

(f) seriously interferes with, seriously disrupts, or destroys, an electronic system including, but not limited to: (i) an information system; or (ii) a telecommunications system; or (iii) a financial system; or (iv) a system used for the delivery of essential government services; or (v) a system used for, or by, an essential public utility; or (vi) a system used for, or by, a transport system.

The Criminal Code makes it an offence if a person commits a terrorist act, provides or receives training connected with terrorist acts, possesses a thing connected with terrorist acts, collects or makes documents likely to facilitate terrorist acts, or does any act in preparation for or planning of terrorist acts. The penalty for engaging in a terrorist act is life imprisonment.

The penalty for other terrorism-related offences outlined above ranges from ten years to life imprisonment.

Come on Muso,
I wasn't the one who started using this word.
Your telling me we have been using this word more then any other word for the last decade and don't even know what it means??

You know he is a terrorist, remove your emotion and review the facts; you cannot deny it.

OK, a terrorist is usually non government and fighting assymmetrical warfare. So the French Resistance were terrorists, but the Nazi occupying army were not.  Make sense?

It's an emotive term that has no agreed definition.

Government forces have been called terrorists before, who or what they represent has no bearing in the word and if it does it defeats the purpose.
Most 'asymmetrical warfare' as you put it is not by choice but set by their military limitations but this has no bearing.

A person defending their homeland is not a terrorist and the nazis are the terrorists in that instance.
